About The North Denali Jackets and Cold Weather Accessories: |
The North Face Denali is an iconic jacket. Instantly recognizable thanks to fuzzy fleece and nylon sections on the chest and shoulders. It all started back in the late 1980s when The North Face brought to the life the first Denali for Paul Piana and Todd Skinner for their first free ascent of the Salathé Wall. Little did they know that it would soon become one of the most indelible pieces of activewear ever assembled. The original Denali featured 300-weight Polartec fleece and a handy Napoleon pocket to store your phone and other essentials. Along with some durable wear-patches on the shoulders and elbows to resist abrasion, this jacket is zip-in compatible with a number of other North Face outer shells. This means that you can attach the Denali to a waterproof shell to stay both warm and dry in harsh conditions.
Although everything really started with the original jacket, The North Face Denali has since transformed into an entire line of products, all made with Polartec fleece for warmth and protection against the elements. The Denali 2 and hooded Denali look almost exactly the same as the original but its features are what set it apart. It’s made with at least 50% recycled fleece which helps TNF reduce its carbon footprint. It has a higher collar for better protection against the cold and wind and offers a stylish cold-weather look. Its stretch cuff fabric ensures that the sleeves won’t ride up your arms and are constructed with thick fleece to prevent any drafts from sneaking up your arms. It has a bottom hem toggle to that adjusts to your fit preference. Additionally, the Denali 2 offers a wider range of sizes, from XS-XXXL, and colors to fit all shapes and sizes. The Denali line isn't limited to coats and hooded jackets, though. You can get that great fleece feel from other products in the line too, like a vest to keep your core warm all day long. There are The North Face Denali thermal beanies along with a collection of fleece gloves to keep those hands toasty, including so-good-the-must-be-magic touch-screen phone compatible gloves. Last but certainly not least is the inspired variety of scarves and neck gaiters. Trust us, there's nothing like the feel of soft and warm fleece wrapped up tight on those brutal winter days. |
