About Splitboards: |
Splitboarding is the art of taking your All-Mountain or Powder board, cutting it in half lengthwise, and then walking up the slope. Like all other snowboards, splitboards come in various shapes, sizes, and styles, but what makes them unique is their ability to be used for backcountry snowboarding. Purposeful mountings for different binding orientations to get you up and down the mountain as well as having areas on the tip and tail for climbing skins to attach to, Splitboarding is THE way to get up and down the mountain in style.
To all those snowboarders who were left in the resort by their skier friends, you can now follow along and hike out with them to explore the side and backcountry. The mountain is now completely free to explore with no restrictions. That means every secret powder stash is now your stash. Make it yours, get out there, conquer everything. The mountain is your oyster and you now have an oyster knife. So get shucking and get those sweet pearls of powder just waiting to be explored. Why let the backcountry skiers have all the fun? Show them who’s boss and confuse those Jerry’s with your wide wake that only a snowboard can make. They’ll be so confused when they see one wide track instead of twin tracks like they're used to. Is it a moose? Is it a giant snake track slithering through the powder? Nope, just you with your wide snowboard designed to float in the powder and crush the untouched slopes. |
