About Nikwax Waterproofing:

Nikwax was first produced as a commercial. Nope, sorry. Nikwax was first produced as a commercial product in London. This dude named Nick, go figure, started Nikwax waterproofing at age 22 in his flat. How British. Nikwax started off as a non-softening waterproofing wax for leather boots, but it was so freaking excellent that he expanded Nikwax to waterproof so many more products too.

In the 80's, along with acid wash jeans, Nikwax began thinking of its impact on the environment and how it could 'go green,' like Kermit. Stuff that hurt the environments feelings were switched to create the first Nikwax Water-Based Range. Nikwax was the first-ever company to produce water-based products to restore waterproofing in the home.

Nikwax is so incredibly easy to use and is now made for a wide range of products. You can literally Nikwax waterproof anything these days. There's Nikwax leather waterproofing wax, Nikwax Cotton Waterproofing, Nikwax Down Proof, Nikwax Glove Proof, seriously everything. By golly, you can even buy some Nikwax Softshell Proof for that new softshell of yours.

Nikwax also has a line of Nikwax cleaning solvents that might tickle your fancy. Try the Nikwax Tech Wash or the Nikwax TX Direct Wash, it can literally be sprayed on everything from wicking linings or single wall tents.

Normally I don't like proofs. Let's just say I was never a math whiz; I don't really want to be called a whiz at anything. It has more to do with the word whiz than anything. This Nikwax waterproofing has something going for it though. Since it's all water-based, you could probably Nikwax your dog. Eh, no, maybe don't do that.
