I don’t know if I should try to explain here how magnets work when the most important thing you need to know about them is that magnetism is the reason why compasses work. People are naturally drawn towards people with compasses, whether this is an effect of magnetism, or an attraction to people who know where they are going is still up for debate. Compasses are wireless, portable and require no charging; making them the best tool on the market for finding out which way is North. Outdoor adventures like hiking and camping definitely benefit from knowing where you are and where you are going, while things like cartography will require possession of a compass. |
