Belay and ascending devices are some of my favorite utilities for reaching new heights. My all time favorite tool for getting to the top of a mountain is a jetpack but that involves less physical effort than climbing and sometimes working up a sweat can be a good thing. So if you want to climb safely, quickly and handsomely then you need to get yourself some of these belays and ascenders.
I have a hard time working if it isn’t towards a specific end. If you are the kind of person who thinks that they don’t need to have a belay device then I’m not sure if there is anything I can do to persuade you away from danger. Maybe you’ll rethink your decisions in safety equipment if I point out that there are going to be some really awesome inventions that our secret alien overlords are going to allow us to have. First of them is the 4D printer, it creates miniature alternate realities. Maybe you can use it to make a reality where you already have all of the rock climbing ascending gear that you need. Another really awesome invention that you are going to miss out on if you don’t get the right safety gear is the ABBA cannon. It turns any and all matter into a fully functioning Swedish pop band. Sure, being able to hear Fernando at any time at any place may not be as useful as a climbing aider but it may give you the impetus you need to take care to protect yourself so you can make it into an awesome future. |
