Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Unbelievable bootsYeah 500 dollar boots but they are definitely worth it. To me anyways. Definitely substantialy better than any of the other major boots brands. It's immediately obvious how kickass these are. They recommend a half size smaller than your usual size but I got my normal size and I like it, room for nice socks.

the sole is very thin and wore out quicklybought them a year ago hiked maybe 50 miles in the Adirondacks.
bought the boot because of ther durability but the sole is thin in the heel and wore out very quickly and surprised me given the mention of durability . curious why . have been trying to reach zamberlan directly but havemt had any luck on getting them replaced or fixed . i'm not going to pay to resole a boot that is only a year old

The quality is very good.Bought the boot for medium hiking, yardwork,and every day use. The boot works great for ridding my Harley Davidson as well. The leather is quality from Italy. The Vibran soles are double stiched for long life. A good boot.

100% Worth the HypeI’m writing this review as someone who PAINSTAKINGLY reads reviews, watches videos, and does granular comparisons of products. I researched boots this round extra hard as I have broken my right foot thrice so my feet have no tolerance for subpar equipment. I am a chiropractic physician, so I also know a thing or two about biomechanics and the difference between sales gimmick features versus things that save toenails and prolong hikes.
My search for new boots started when my favorite pair I’ve ever owned died a glorious death in 2019 while hiking at Lake Tahoe. Combine that with me living in Florida and COVID screwing up my ability to safely travel places that require actual boots and technical gear to have fun/survive… let’s just say I had the time to decide on my newest (and hopefully last) pair of hiking boots. I recently pulled the trigger on the Zamberlan Tofanes before a quick weekend trip to Park City for a long weekend of fun in the snow.
You name the brand, model of boot- I have probably had them on my feet and tested them. I have wide feet so my feet test companies that like to tout their products as being ergonomic/anatomical.
Let me save you some time— just buy the Zambies. My 2nd and 3rd place boots were also Zamberlan- the Vioz Luxe, Cresta respectively. I ultimately went Tofane over Vioz due to a slightly wider toe box AND they’d perform better as boots not worn on the trail (ie: they wouldn’t look as out of place with casual dress as the others- the Vioz has the big VIBRAM logo across the toe)
Size wise: the other reviews I read said these are true to size but they are NOT. in fact, if you buy these, understand these are not lightweight, tech fabric… they are made of nearly 3mm thick leather that requires time with your foot in it. They SHOULD be a little snug when you buy them. Over time with flexing and moisture/heat from your foot they’ll mold into a perfect fit. I will say the Zamberlan website offers this same advice, but I did not follow their size guide to a T- my wider feet skewed the number UP from their recommendation. I wear a size 12 in everything except Adidas and Salomon… and now Zamberlan. The website recommended a 10.5 US but I suspect that’s more of an Italian company sizing incorrectly against EU sizes. The size 12 for me punched my toes horribly whereas an 11.5 fit like a dream. Your mileage may vary, but my expert opinion here is you should step down a half size from normal.
Bottom line, I’ve made a great choice. These boots are wonderfully made, I only need to break them in once (which, by the way, only took about 2 days) as a cobbler will eventually replace the sole, and my feeble feet have already logged 20 miles in rocks, snow, pavement, airport, and 6,000 miles in s plane and they’ve been nothing short of A+ quality performers. These are a lifetime boot. Spend a couple hundo on lesser boots you’ll replace every two years if you want, but I’d rather stick with the feet tanks that are the Zamberlan Tofanes.
No, I didn’t get a free pair or a discount for gushing over these boots, but I’m open to free swag if you’re reading this, Zamberlan USA ;)

Great BootsI got the zamberlan boots this early this month. Comfortable from the moment my feet were in them for a day on my feet on all kinds of terrain. Boots are great quality and remind me of the traditional walking boots I had in the 1970s. I love the construction.

The Best Boots.Construction, fit, styling, leather quality, attention to detail, Norwegian welt. These are the best hiking boots I've had, and I'm old. Strong, great fit/comfort (which will improve while breaking in), and they can be resoled. I'm kicking myself for not buying this brand sooner.

retired---I've been hiking/backpacking for about 45 years and I've worn a number of different hiking boots- from Danner to Vasque from La Sportiva to One Sport Moraine-- about 12 years ago I bought my first pair of Zamberlans, the Vios 996-- oustanding-- but I guess I had put too much waterproofing on them through the years-- Dave Page, cobbler in Seattle, said he couldn't re-sole them-- Zamberlan replaced them--in 2016-- guess what--same thing--I sent them to be re-soled-- NOPE--too much waterproofing--duhh... so I ordered these Tofanes--OUTSTANDIND boot-- love the Norwegian welt and toe rand...I use them on my backpacking hikes and still wear the Vios boots on shorter hikes, as long as the soles will last. These boots need NO breaking in.. and the size is spot on.. and...this is the first time I have ordered from Moosejaw and I am impressed... I will order from them again...I like their witty, little quips-- Sorry for the lengthy review JoeyS

Dang nice bootFeels like your foot is between 2 warm soft pillows , but with firm support on the sole, good protection from cold and wet. I like to wear them when fat biking too.

These are listed at 61.5oz (almost 4lbs!), whereas the ZAMBERLAN VIOZ GTX BOOT is listed at a more reasonable 26.1 oz (1.6lbs). Are these really over twice as heavy or is there a typo on one of the specs?

After taking a look, it was found that the the weight listed for our Zamberlan Men's 1025 Tofane NW GTX RR Boot is for the pair, whereas the weight that we have listed for the Zamberlan Vioz GTX Boot is just for one boot. With this being said, the weight of the pair would be ~3.12lbs. Hopefully this helps clarify everything!

Great question! I asked one of our friends in the warehouse to track these down and measure 'em up. They have reported back that it was difficult to measure inside but by measuring the internal and external sole they believe the toe box is about 3.5-4 inches wide. The heel is 3 inches wide. Hope this helps!
