Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suitable for Geologists Although I haven’t put them through all their paces, so far so good. They remind me a bit of boots from the 90s and earlier before synthetics and pieced together leather and bumper rands became popular. Good solid boot that seems to be breaking in quite well and I hope will be as durable some of my past Alicos, Rachlie and Vasque rough side leather out one piece leather boots. Big fan of leather lined boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from are u tuff enuff? my son works construction in OR, Always mud. he's football size big, fits the doorway. I'm a musculoskeletal radiologist (and Ironman) and value the feet (as much as the brain). Proper footwear to support the arches are paramount. redwings lasted a season. I googled "expensive work boots" and this came up first. He loves his boots and his mother too. cheap is always expensive in the end.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Built Very well built boot. Just did not have a big enough toe box to give me some wiggle room. If it was offered in a wide version, it would be a perfect 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy/rugged boot Alright, I hate shoes and even more so boots. Having a wide foot and growing up barefoot, I prefer to live in Chacos whether backpacking or climbing 14ers. But these boots I hardly want to take off at the end of the day. The fit is snug over the arch and roomy in the toe, even with wide feet as mentioned. However, I have an average size ankle and they are just barely able to tighten to what feels like a tight/supportive fit in that area. Not a negative for me as these are extremely comfortable in the ankle, as others have mentioned, and the support from the heel to arch is perfectly adequate. I've only been wearing these for two weeks, albeit every day, but they just keep getting better. The leather at the toe is beating up faster than I expected but with leather this thick I doubt it will become an issue. The long test will be whether the soles remain well bonded as seems to be the issue with so many other boot manufacturers which have outsourced production and declined in quality the past handful of years. Thanks for keeping it classy, Zamberlan. Order half size down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful boot, great build quality Just bought this boot 3 weeks ago, have put about 12 miles on them for break in purposes. So far so good, but I think they need another 12 miles or so to be fully ready for a long trail hike. Previously I was wearing pair of welted sole Raichle's that are going on 30 years old, and have been re-soled 2 times and they've seen many a mile hiking, these are going to be hard to replace. Hoping for the best with the Zamberlans. Mark

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent boots Love these boots. The best feature is one can walk vast distances over rough terrain with no foot fatigue or chafing. They give great support all over .With glove leather lining they essentially break in to be custom fit to your foot. This is a most pleasant sensation. The thick leather stays stiff where support and protection is needed but supple at flex points. The leather is waterproof yet very breathable.Comfortable in hot and cold weather.,, The boots look clumpy but are the opposite. The soles are somehow designed to give one a graceful gliding, rolling stride like walking shoes..Where these boots really excel is when walking on harsh and ..steep and rock .Walking around cliff edges in Sedona Arizona I really appreciated the bolted to the ground, no slop feel.On cold days they stay dry in snow, no seems to leak.In hot weather they breath better than Goretex .They also basically armor and reinforce your feet.,,.Cheap they are not but they are a pleasure on all surfaces in all weather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the quality, look, and feel! The quality of the boot is fantastic ... Beautiful leather, excellent sole, make and attention to detail is fantastic. The boot is solid while also very comfortable. I'd say the boot runs about a half to full size large so would recommend going down half a size with a thick hiking sock assuming you will wear in cold weather. It's an expensive boot but you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality old school boots Just got these and walked a couple miles in them. No blisters, but clearly, full break in is going to be a bit of a process. Pretty sure I'm going to love them. If you are looking for a light boot, a low maintenance boot, a boot requiring little to no break in, or a gore tex boot then move along, these aren't for you. However if you appreciate high quality full grain leather on the outside and supple leather on the inside, the breathability of no gore tex, if you want a boot that can be resoled and isn't held together with glue and you don't mind the weight penalty then this just might be the boot for you. ,, The boot is fully lined with soft calf skin which feels great but they recommend regularly cleaning with a damp warm cloth both inside and out and reconditioning with their proofing cream to clean off grime outside and the salts from perspiration on the inside. Hmmmm. Might have to enlist the aid of someone with much smaller hands than mine to do a good job on the inside.

My hiking boots are usually a 10.5 EE US, do you have wide fit boots available? Please advise, Thanks  Jay Remley

Asked by: Hiker52
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, the Men's 1023 Latemar NW Boot are not available in a Wide option. The only waterproof boot I can suggest is the Men's 996 Vioz GTX Boot as that does come in 10.5 Wide. I included a link below. I hope this helps! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Zamberlan-Men-s-996-Vioz-GTX-Boot_10231603_10208_10000001_-1_
