Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
Earn 10% back on all full-priced purchases on Moosejaw.com or at our shops (2.5% for discounted items).

The Gold StandardThis is the second Western Mountaineering Ultralite in our household, my wife bought this one to match the bag I've been using and sharing with her for five years.
There's not much left to say about this bag that's not already been heavily written about in the established canon of lightweight backpacking.
Yeah, a quilt would be lighter. But I personally thrash around a lot when I sleep, and have never had a quilt stay on me for an hour, much les a whole night. The 6'6 bag in the supplied stuff sack weighs 884 grams, just barely under 2 lbs. If you have been using cheaper bags, you will be surprised how honest or even modest the 20 degree rating is. I've spent many comfortable nights in this bag in conditions below the 20 degree rating. If it's above freezing and you really like your backpacking partner, two people can use one of these unzipped bags as a quilt.
The zipped-up fit of this bag is very tight, to keep the bag lightweight and to keep you warm. I'm 6'3 200 lbs. There's plenty of width in the bag for broad shoulders, but I wish they made a longer length than 6'6. If you're over six feet tall and have big jackrabbit feet, you'll likely feel the same. The 6'6 bag is a lot more appropriately sized to my 5'10 wife than to me.
Durability is excellent given the weight. I've spent about 100 nights in this bag, and am not particularly careful around it. I poked some holes in the shell the first year I owned this bag by carelessly throwing a bunch of sharp avalanche gear on my bed after a long day at work. I used some small pieces of generic self-adhesive gear repair tape to fix the holes I made in the bag, and they haven't frayed or expanded at all in the past four years. Functionally the durability of this bag is about the same as the 15lb military surplus ECWS bag I use for car camping.

Best bag I’ve ever ownedHaven’t had a chance to test the temp rating yet, but initial impression is excellent. Very well built, extremely light, very lofty, very warm. I’m really glad I finally pulled the trigger on it. I’ve always wanted one of these bags. It lives up to the reputation and is worth the price tag. Blows everything else I’ve had out of the water.

Simply the bestThis is the 2nd WM bag I've bought and I am convinced no one makes a better quality down.sleeping bag.The attention to detail is outstanding, and every bag is personally signed by the sewer who put it together. One great improvement from my previous bag was a firm strip of fabric along the zipper so that the zipper doesn't get caught in the fabric itself.

Excellent Sleeping BagThe finest sleeping bag I've ever owned. Very well made, very light, very lofty. The stiff strip of material behind the zipper promises fewer zipper snags, a nice feature.

Expect and receive the best.I bought this sleeping bag based on our long experience with our 40D WM bags. Although we normally are in hammocks (and use quilts), we have started using a tent in the late fall / early spring and on bicycle trips.I am 5' even and this bag is just big enough to allow me to stuff some clothes in the bottom and button up the hood easily. It has easily handled the lower 20's and with some additional layering of clothing, I am sure it could be used in the mid-teens. The quality is what you get with WM equipment and if you take care of it, lasts a long-long time. To top it off dealing with Moosejaw is a breeze.

Lightweight, compact. Not for coldest nightsI have used this bag a couple of times so far and am impressed with the warmth to weight ratio. It packs down well with a good compression sack. Most of my backpacking is in Colorado and the nights can get pretty cold (low 30s is common)…I found this bag took a long time to warm up on colder nights. Choose a lower temp rated bag if you’re going to be in cold temps.
Would this be to warm for Summer months? Also how small can this bag compress down too?

I'm 5'6 with wider hips. Will the short work or would it be better to go with the 6'0?
Asked by: Traveller108
Hiya, thanks for your question! I'm 5'6" and I have a short Western Mountaineering SummerLite bag. It fits fine for me but I wish there was a little more height to store some clothes at the bottom while I'm in it. Your hips... I hear they don't lie ;)... should fit in either size, so it just depends on if you prefer a little more length. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm 5,91 ft height which size fits me better regular or long? Regards, Hugo C.
Asked by: hugocaesar
Hey there Hugo, you would want to pick up the Regular length for this item. Regular fits folks up to 6' tall. The Short size fits those up to 5'6" and the Long length fits people up to 6'6". With a sleeping bag, you want to choose one that is long enough to fit you but not TOO long, so you would definitely want to go with Regular and not Long.

Hello, does this bag have DWR or any type of water resistance?
Asked by: Vidrio21
Hiya, thanks for your question! This bag is has a breathable, water resistant shell. It can lose it's effectiveness with use but the outer shell fabric can be re-treated to restore water resistance. Hope this helps!

How does this bag compare to the Terralite 25- they seem really similar and I think may weigh the same? I'm looking to drop a few ounces by upgrading from my Marmot Meteor Penguin 15- which is comfy, but more than I often need & weighs about 2lb 7.
Asked by: Terry
Hey Terry,
The weights of these bags are very similar. The regular length of the UltraLite 20 is about 1 lb 13 oz
and the average weight of the Terralite 25 is 1 lb 8 oz or a claimed weight of 1 lb 13 oz. Besides the temperature ratings these are very similar bags, both designed for 3 season use.

How does the ultralights comfort level for side and stomach sleepers compare to the nemo spoon series?
Asked by: Kyle
Hey there, Kyle!
Great question. As you probably know, there are some key distinctions in features between these types of bags, including extra warmth with the Western Mountaineering bag.
Just based on the mummy shape of this UltraLight, the Nemo spoon series will give you a little more room for spreading out or sleeping on your side.
I hope this helps!

Does 5'6'' fits well for a 5'5'' person? will it feel tight?
Asked by: brad
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out to us! The Western Mountaineering UltraLite 20 Degree Sleeping Bag 5 ft 6 in should fit you considering your 5 ft 5 in. I'm not sure how you sleep, but it is a mummy-style bag which can sometimes feel a bit constrictive. Sleeping bags keep you warm by trapping your body heat, so you don't want too much extra space. Also, extra space equals more weight in your pack. If you're still undecided, there's the 6 ft bag. I hope this has helped!
