The Western Mountaineering Sequoia MF 5 Degree Sleeping Bag is a cold weather sleeping bag for trips that require some extra weather resistance. MicroLite XP™ shell fabric has been tightly woven to allow the bag to breath while still offering a sufficient level of water resistance, just in case you're in the backcountry when its snowing or raining. While it isn't waterproof, it'll still resist moisture to a high level, so the down on the inside still has the best chance of working its warm magic. The 850+ fill power goose down in this bag has been stuffed chock-full into the baffles, creating a 7" loft and rating down to 5°F. Talk about your own little heater in the mountains. Snuggle up against the down collar for fully body warmth through the deep of the night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WM Bags Are the Real Deal I am fortunate to have spent thousands of nights in sleeping bags either working, living, or just kicking it in the great outdoors. I had countless sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, bedrolls etc. over the last 50 years and Western Mountaineering are hands down the best I have ever used. Warm to their rating, thoughtfully designed, supremely comfortable, and built to last if properly cared for. I am only writing this to save the folks on the fence a little shopping time. Cry once, own a high quality item made in the US, and go enjoy the reasons you bought it for. There will be no regrets.

I have had lesser bags, when I was looking for a new bag for a big trip - many suggested WM as the BEST! ... and that is no lie! Quality thru and thru! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bag, Supremely Well Made! I shopped long and hard, did hours of research as I do for everything I buy. This is where i settled. Moosejaw had the best price by far. Now, regarding the bag; It is a work of art. Solid Solid construction, light weight and very warm, with the ability to unzip the feet only for the hotter nights. Western Mountaineering stitched the whole bag perfectly, so it will last a lifetime. The zippers, there are several, are all YKK super quality. You can tell they use the finest down fill, as compared to the down bags I tried at several other retailers and previously owned. This is not a warm weather bag, I like it best in the fall to early winter. I am about 6'1" and 250lbs and have plenty of room so it definitely doesn't cramp my sleeping ability. I have very broad shoulders. Glad i got the xtra long. Everything about this bag is sweet, and it shipped super fast, oh and its made in the USA which was a plus for me. Bottom line, if you are on the fence, buy it. You'll be glad you did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME!!!! I have a 62" shoulder girth and it has been difficult finding a bag that fits my frame. I was reluctant about making such a hefty purchase but i put my girl panties on and bought this bag and it has far exceeded my expectations. the loft on this bag is truly amazing along with the warmth. I have plenty of shoulder room. I have wasted $$$ on Mountain Hardwear and North Face bags only to be disappointed Western Mountaineering has my vote from here on out. the zippers on this bag can be linked to another Sequoia so now my wife wants one...with two linked together, there should be enough room to tango if the urge rises...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to get one for my wife too This bag will adjust to almost any temperature, due to the zipper system and the continous baffles. In other words, a true 3-season bag, super comfortable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More then true TEMP!!! So most bags use this theoretical rating system based on survival. This bag does not and kept me warm at 7 degrees and luke warm at about -5. I think it is important to add that I sleep cold usually and I tried about 6 other bags. I have used this bag for over 150 nights in the great outdoors and its never failed me. Additionally, it has the option to fully zip the foot box and become a flat down blanket. One thing to consider is that this bag is a wider bag made for large people. I am about 5"11'and 165 lbs and I wrap a fleece around my feet otherwise I find that I get cold feet. It is really nice though to have the extra room to change and move around.

Helppppp! I am 5'3'' 180lbs girthy male, 50" " shoulder girth, looking at a WM Puma, bag. What length do I order? I have no dealers near me.

Asked by: Patch
Hiya Patch, thanks for your question! I would recommend the "Regular" size Puma sleeping bag. It might be a bit snug, depending on the layers you'll be wearing. Hope this helps!
