Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
Earn 10% back on all full-priced purchases on Moosejaw.com or at our shops (2.5% for discounted items).
The program is FREE. Just register and join during the checkout process. So Easy.

Best sleeping bag I’ve ever ownedThis bag’s comfort rating is accurate. I’ve tried it out in 10 degree weather and was warm all night. It’s very roomy and puffy. I’m a rounder guy at 5’ 7” and 230 pounds and this bag had more room than any other bag I own. It’s also shocking how small this bag packs down to considering how big it is when fully fluffed up. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to spend the money.

Amazing warmth to weight, especially roomyThis is my 4th down bag from Western Mountaineering over the past 20 years. Their quality is unsurpassed, and worth the premium price they sell for. This is my new go-to bag for cold weather, yet not arctic or super high-altitude, use. My first trip got down to 4 degrees F, and I was comfortable in this bag, wearing a base layer and light fleece jacket and beanie. I got a long size so that I could keep a water bottle, camera, batteries, etc, in the foot box to prevent freezing. It's so roomy that I was able to comfortably wear a medium weight down jacket and down pants inside when it went sub-zero the next time out, so I will be able to use it in most winter conditions that I will encounter. Their zipper system is the best I have ever seen for preventing snags and smooth operation. The only thing I'd like to see added would be a small zipped pocket for glasses, headlamp, etc. The microfiber fabric resisted any frost/condensation soaking into the down and felt soft and comfortable.

Like sleeping in your own summer cocoonGreat bag for winter camping. Tour up the mountain, shred for the day, build sweet snow cave for the night, sleep like a baby in this awesome bag, shred the next day and bail.

Warm and comfortableI purchased this bag to retire my 20 plus year old North Face bag. I won't get to truly test this sleeping bag until the first part of April when I go turkey hunting. Temperatures frequently dip into the upper teens at night and can make for a miserable nights sleep. I'm counting on this bag to fulfill it's claims. But my early, and yet to be tested opinion, is this bag will give me a good nights rest. It is certainly comfortable.

Just what I was looking forI went in to this purchase 100% skeptical about the price and quality. I have an old TNF Green Kazoo that does well to about 15 degrees, after that I’m cold. Northern Ohio gets cold in the winter and I enjoy sleeping outdoors.
The stitching on this bag is ridiculous. Someone put some work into this bag, and their skills left nothing but exceptional quality. This alone far exceeded my expectations. The loft is incredible. It really looks inflated when laid flat, very impressive. The zipper system is really a delight to use. No issues whatsoever with snagging. It’s a very thoughtful design.
I’m 6’1” tall and about 165lbs but got the 6’6” version because I enjoy having plenty of space inside. I’ve used it 3 separate nights now. 18, 17, and 9 degree overnight lows. I only wear my Smartwool 250 base layers at night in the bag with Darn Tough Mountaineering socks. Each night I woke up to open the bag a little due to its warmth. My toes were very warm without having to throw a hot Nalgene bottle at the footbed.
No disrespect to the TNF Green Kazoo but I never achieved that level of comfort and warmth while using it. The Western Mountaineering Kodiak is just a higher level of quality and comfort. The WM bag packs a bit smaller as well. I grabbed a S2S dry bag for it to keep it dry in my bag in the event of exciting weather.
As for the price... This is tough for me to explain. I know I’ll be using it at least a dozen nights a year in winter camping alone. Knowing I’ll be warm and cozy most if not all of those nights with a sub 3lb bag makes it worth it to me.
Yes, I would buy it again, without hesitation.
Yes, I would absolutely recommend this bag.
This is the second product I’ve purchased from Western Mountaineering and both have been exceptionally built.

Warm and packs easily!Bought this sleeping bag to replace my previous mummy bag with a colder rating due to my previous bag was too bulky. First the price scared me and I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth it. I’ve used this sleeping bag every weekend since I bought it and It’s amazeballs! I’ve had this bag in some temps down in the teens and stayed warm all night long, this also compresses down really small and easily fits in my pack. Also I’m a bigger guy and was pleased with how this fit and didn’t feel tight like some other mummy bags. Overall I’m impressed and it’s worth the money for what you get.

Solid cold weather bagHeld up great in cold weather in a hammock overnight. Also compacts down well. I haven’t tried cleaning it yet but if it keeps the same temperature rating after that, then it’s a great piece of gear

Big BearThis bag is exactly what you would expect from Western Mountaineering...Quality craftsmanship, superior materials, and a great place to sleep. Did I mention how warm it is? It's pretty spendy, but I plan on keeping it for years so I view it as an investment.
I’m 5’11, which length bag do I need ?
Asked by: Bullelkaholic
Hey there,
Thanks for the question. If you are 5'11, your best fit would definitely be a 6 Foot. If you go for a longer length, you may end up with a lot of extra room near your feet, which will make it harder for warmth to be trapped. Hope this helps!

I just ordered this bag in the 6’6 version. What size sea to summit eVent compression dry sack would I get for it?
Asked by: Yousef
Hey there, thanks for your question.
The Kodiak MF 0 comes with an 18L stuff sack. The Large Sea to Summit eVent bag is 20L so I would go with that. If you really hate yourself you could probably cram it into the Medium which is only 15L, but I'd opt for a bigger stuff sack since it's being compressed more anyway.
I hope this helps!

I really need This bag! I have a 20* and a 10* WM bag. Love love love them. Will never own a different brand. But I am 5’1”. Don’t need the 6’ bag! Does it come in a 5’6”? I can’t find it anywhere. Can I special order this size?
Asked by: Aspen
Hello Aspen!
Thank you for reaching out! After taking a look, it was found that Western Mountaineering does not offer this in a size around 5'6 unfortunately (6ft would be the smallest). Neither Moosejaw or Western Mountaineering are able to customize lengths, however Western Mountaineering does have the ability to overstuff bags which could help eat up a little extra room. Hopefully this helps!

Is the Kodiak comfortable for side sleepers? I was looking a t the 6' model and I'm 5'8; 170 lbs
Asked by: HikingMike
Hey there HikingMike, great question! The wide 66" shoulder girth should make this sleeping bag appropriate for even side sleepers! I hope this helps!

Hi, I'm looking for 6 feet / left. Any chance you'll have this size anytime soon?
Asked by: jaeseo
Hey jaeseo, thanks for the question! We should be getting more of those 6 ft Left zip bags in, unfortunately I can't say for sure when that will actually happen. Sorry about that, but I hope this helps!
