Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.
Earn 10% back on all full-priced purchases on Moosejaw.com or at our shops (2.5% for discounted items).

Best Winter sleeping bag ever!I have used my Bristlecone sleeping bag numerous times in the deep snow and wilderness mountains of Utah. What an excellent performer! Even in sub-zero temps this bag keeps you toasty warm! Probably the best bag I’ll ever own!

Reputation and build quaint second to none!Western Mountaineering's reputation I beyond question so I needed to find the right fit. I am 5'-8" and #170 but I toss and turn all night. I bought this bag due to its wider size and its great. I can bring my knees up to my chest with ease. I brought a lesser quality down on my trip to Alaska last October and froze for 10 days with every piece of insulation I could find. This bag is so much more substantial and the attention to detail is evident. I climbed into it here at home and it was like an oven instantly but with the larger size I can adjust the zippers and hang out my legs and still pull enough of the bag around me to seal off unwanted air. Paired with my new Exped Downmat staying warm this October is the least of my worries.

Best bag out thereThis is our 6th WM bag. Our original bag was purchased in Alaska over 25 years ago. There is not a better bag out there. Dependable warmth. Durable.

Purchasing this bag 16 years ago was the best money I have ever spent on Hunting gear.Over the Last 16 years this bag has kept me extremely comfortable hunting and fishing in Canada and Alaska. I have been a Scout Leader for 25+ years where we try to do a campout every month. I use this bag from the warm summer months to Snow caves in winter months in the High Uintas of Utah and the High Sierras of California. The lightness of this high quality down keeps the temperature of your body just right and doesn't over heat when its warmer. After much frustration over never being warm enough while camping with Boy Scouts I decided to find the best bag I could find. I went to a specialty mountaineering store in SLC and found the Bristlecone. I learned from an old Scouter that when you buy a high quality down bag it can way outlast cheaper ones and ends up being a lot less expensive. I have been caught out in some severe sub zero weather conditions where others have been in jeopardy of getting too cold and I have always stayed comfortably warm.

Finally a bag for the husky gentlemanOK, I'm a big guy. My european shoe size is triple digits. I wear a bora 95 as a fanny pack. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? Anyway, this bag is unbelievable. As warm as any bag, what makes it the best is the size. I can sleep stomach down like all good people do, and not have half my torso out in the elements. This is basically an average studio on the lower east side, with loft! It fits tight into an extra large stuff sack and the bottom of a decent-sized pack (my south col takes it like a man). This is THE cold weather down bag for the clydesdale crew.

Great super warm comfortable bag with lots of room!I have a WM Badger sleeping bag that I used in winter with lots of clothes and wasn't always warm enough. Along with my Thermarest Luxury Camp mattress this thing kept me toasty warm with just long underwear on to 10 below. This is a huge bag with a semi-rectangular shape so if you are small that may be an issue although it gives you room to add lots of clothes if you want. I'm 5'9" 190 lbs. with wider shoulders so I love the extra room as I can sleep on my stomach if I get that urge. You can also stuff items in the bottom to keep from freezing so the two zippers come in handy for that as well. With some extra clothes on I can see this bag keeping me warm to 20-25 below no problem.

Best Cold Weather Bag For Those Who Want RoomIf you sleep on your side or stomach, or just need a bit more room to sleep comfortably on a cold night, this is your bag. This bag gives 8+ inches of loft, plenty of shoulder girth, room to roll over or even sleep on your side without having to roll the bag on edge (keeps maximum down on top of you for the best insulating power).,,,,And the bag oozes quality. The snag free zipper is a heaven-send when temps plunge and you really NEED the zipper to work right. Rated at -10, this bag can go most places in the lower 48 states in the dead of winter. Add a silk bag liner and even the coldest nights won't keep you from a great night’s sleep.,,

Comfortable, versatile and well made. Worth the money. This is a great sleeping bag. In the weight vs comfort/good night's sleep equation, I will gladly carry and extra pound to sleep well all night in almost any temp and be free to thrash around a bit. The ability to open up the feet or lay the bag out flat makes for a much wider range of temps possible. The fabric feels good on your face, it doesn't seem to leak feathers and the whole bag just oozes quality.
Will a bristlecone zip up with a terralite to make one big bag?
Asked by: Bill
Hey there, thanks for your question.
As long as the bags have opposite zippers you should be able to zip them together.
I hope this helps!

Can 2 of these be zipped together to make a double bag?
Asked by: Mooseman
Hey there Mooseman, thanks for the question! With the double-zipper configuration, this bag can be fully unzipped to lay flat, zip into another Bristlecone MF bag or other mummy-shaped Western Mountaineering bags. I hope this helps!

With the wider size, will this require a double size sleep pad/air mat? Hoping to make it work with my Exped Mega 10 regular wide.
Asked by: Cindy
Hi Cindy, thanks for the question! This is really an issue of personal preference, you can absolutely still use your MegaMat 10 regular width under this bag, but you will have some bag hanging over on each side. If you stick with the megamat 10, you should have roughly 5" of hangover from this bag on each side. I hope this helps!
