Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs waist strap for heavy load It's great for travelling with everything, I like the space and the wet pocket for shoes. By only quam is that it can get very heavy and needs a waist strap so it doesn't hurt my back. I had to carry it for a day and my back hurt all day. Otherwise great bag, well thought out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest Timbuk2 fail I'm going to start by saying I have four timbuk2 backpacks and theee suitcases. I am DEDICATED to Timbuk2.. I need a lot of different luggage for my job so I bought this as my daily backpack. The convertible strap is a nightmare and I'm so angry that I bought this. Every time I pick it up, the strap snaps off. The little metal piece holding it in place might be faulty or poor design. I've been hit in the face with it several times and a few times when I'm walking down the street the clasp just snaps open and I lose a strap. The chest straps that bring the front closer together have always been important for me because I'm short and narrow. But on other backpacks I own they can't fall off the strap because there is stitching to keep them in place. Not this bag - I've already lost one side of the chest strap because on one of the many occasions the strap snaps off the chest strap fell off and I didn't realize it because that's such a massive design flaw! On top of that, if a chest strap isn't sewn in place, at the chest, then it falls to back. If you're carrying any weight in the bag, wiggling those up to meet your chest is awkward. I hate this bag so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for a few nights travel A fantastic travel bag. Fits an amazing amount of gear, stays comfortable when carrying and fits the overhead lockers on aircraft perfectly. Comes with loads of pockets and sections to separate clothes, wet/dry, etc and to carry all those small items as well as the great rear access zipped area for your laptop/surface. For a great price and even looks good enough for me to get a couple of comments and questions the first time I used it. Cant recommend highly enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I'm a field researcher that often works overseas in rural areas, and I also do quite a bit of international travel for work to more urban areas. I needed a versatile carry-on for longer trips (a few weeks or so) when I don't have any bulky equipment and am just carrying the basics. This bag has been great for that purpose. It has a near-perfect balance of features for field travel (not too flashy, completely separate compartment for dirty/wet/smelly items, no wheels, and a shape that makes it easy to throw on my back and go) and urban/business travel (not too sporty, professional, a laptop compartment that's spacious enough to fit and protect documents/folders, and plenty of strategically-placed pockets to facilitate quickly getting through an airport). I'm a petite (5'1") female, and I haven't had any issues with the pack's size/weight distribution. The structure is such that my contents don't shift much, making it much more usable than the Navigator duffel, which I've previously used. The straps are also comfortable. This bag lacks two features that would have made it perfect for me. Although the material seems to be water resistant, the bag most certainly isn't waterproof. I also would love to have a shoulder strap so that I could carry the bag as a duffel. Sometimes it rains, and sometimes I need to use my back for other things. That said, it's still my favorite bag to travel with because of how convenient and functional I've found it to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soild pack I use this pack for travel to work site, it carries all my essentials, including work laptop ( large toughbook),iPad, chargers, set of clothes, winter gear ( toque and gloves) and man soap. I really like the intergrated strap to lock down laptop in the main pack, and the dual sleeve in the back area holds a tablet and paper work nicely. 2 mesh pockets in the main opening flap also make it easy to find charging cables or snacks! The out side has a perfect located pocket up top, I usually store my keys or wallet, I wouldn't suggest this in a high theft area as it is pretty easy to access. The pack is soild and one of the best overbuilt packs I have seen yet. That being said it does come with some weight so if you are looking watching those grams for packing, try it before you buy it, Timbuk may have other suitable. Have noticed some wear on some of the edges and folds that are exposed to abrasion from wear and tear, nothing major to report but the black has turned sort of white in those areas. Other than that they have stood up well as I am told I'm hard on equipment:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack for Travel The Wander Pack is great for domestic and international travel. I have used it on multiple trips to Africa and India. I use it as my carryon luggage and it fits easily in the overhead luggage compartments on both large international flights and smaller domestic flights. The top, bottom and front compartments are useful for organizing my packing. The rear sleeve is very useful for carrying my laptop. The bag has withheld my tough use of it; especially given I have carried books and notebooks in it in addition to clothing. The four front straps are helpful in cinching the backpack closed to compact the bag. Also, I think the Wander Pack has a great look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I like it a lot, with a few improvements it can be the king of the hill. It fits all my necessities for an entire week including warm cloths & computer. Very comfortable to live with thanks to great pocket organization and big opening to a large main space. Comfortable to use as a backpack for short/medium distances. Over all, its a great pack ; can't wait to take it to a long trip to S America/SE Asia. If you pack smartly its up for the task. points to improve: 1. The smallest pocket in front barely fits a small wallet phone and keys. 2. No waist straps. 3. No daisy chain to clap things on the outside.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing quality Prior to purchasing this, I had Timbuk2 messenger which is absolutely bombproof. I've used it for over 10 years and it looks pretty much new. Big fan of the brand. I bought this 4 weeks ago and after light daily use, the material is developing holes where it naturally creases. The straps are poorly designed and often come undone. I would be ok with the straps coming undone, as the style and functionality of the bag are awesome, but I can't see this lasting the year before it falls apart.
