Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality bag with some unfortunate flaws I've had this bag for 6 months now and primarily use it as a work backpack. As graphic designer i have plenty of note pads, pens, erasers, etc. I also carry my wallet, keys and glasses in there. I've got to say... unfortunately this bag just does NOT have enough pockets. I wish there was another large pocket on the inside towards the bottom. Like others have mentioned, the water bottle pocket feels like its on the wrong side. It would be best for a lefty. I'm looking forward to testing this out on a commute bike ride. But for every day use I'm starting to look for other bags.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good bag with some significant flaws I've had this bag for over two years and have just recently retired it as my primary bag (switched to a larger Timbuk2 messenger). I *love* the look of this bag and its versatility...I used it for several years of a PhD program as a school bag and have more recently been using it as an errands-running and walking-around-the-city bag. The large main compartment fits everything I've needed to carry for all purposes, though it's a bit smaller than I'd prefer and important things tend to get lost toward the bottom. I've learned that I prefer a bag with many more pockets than this bag offers...if you value organization, you'll probably dislike the lack of it in this bag. As others have mentioned, the laptop area is lacking in padding/cushion. This hasn't been a huge deal for me, as I always keep my laptop in a sleeve and this compartment is roomy enough to hold that along with my iPad, so I like that my important devices can be kept separate from everything else. I also appreciate that this backpack has a water bottle holder (my messenger doesn't), but the water bottle holder always feels like it's on the wrong side to me. This would probably be a great feature for someone who is left-handed, though. My *biggest* complaint about this bag (and one that I wish I would've seen reflected in more reviews) is that the mesh material on the back of this bag rubs against the bottom of my shirts and causes them to become fuzzy and pilly in that area. I wouldn't say that this has actually *ruined* any of my clothing, but I have had to use a clothing shaver to fix these areas on several garments and it's just really annoying and unfortunate in general. Additionally, because of this rubbing, the mesh material has worn off of the back of my bag pretty significantly at this point, which is beginning to create holes in the bag itself. So, in sum, this is a really nice looking, stylish bag that, though it could use more pockets and padding, is very functional but will damage clothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would for sure buy this again I've owned this backpack for about 6 months now and it's absolutely amazing for commuting and biking. I quite often have very heavy books and etc in my bag and I've seen no sign of wear and tear, you can truly feel the quality of this bag. In addition this backpack keeps everything dry, I've used it in light and heavy rain and have never seen any trace of water penetration. My one draw back is that the laptop sleeve is not very well padded so you'll have to use a sleeve for your laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect backpack for whatever Life throws at it! I use the Rouge everyday for everything! It is the perfect size for carrying around all day everyday and is very comfortable, my favorite part is that I can be riding out in the pouring rain and all my stuff inside stays dry, that is especially good being that this is a laptop backpack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Commuter Pack This is the best commuter pack I've ever owned. I love that my U-lock can attach through the loops on the side panel and not take up space inside. I use the opposite side pocket for storing a flat-repair kit, so the weight balances out. The inner compartment is roomy enough for typical commute items -- a change of clothes and lunch, and more if you pack a little tighter. I'll note that when this bag is packed full, there's a hard insert right along the spine (which lets the back keep its upright shape) which presses/rubs against your spine while you're bent over in a riding position. Again, it's only an issue while the bag is full and you're on a bike ... pack slightly less, and riding is no problem. Bothers me occasionally, but not enough to deduct a star. The other thing to note is there's no key attachment ... you're left to toss them in the back zippered pocket, which is fine, but leaves you searching through other items you've thrown in there instead of having a fixed, easy point of access ... mildly annoying. Overall quality is great; I've ridden through rain without problems and love the general style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cool backpack I bought this backpack to replace a timbuk2 messenger bag I used for 18 years. I wanted to try something different. So far the backpack works well for me. It seems to hold as much as a medium sized messenger bag but seems somehow more compact. Adequate laptop protection, given that youre putting a computer into a backpack - theres foam padding, and the pocket keeps the laptop from going to the bottom of the bag. I wish there were even more pockets. I would like a pocket on the inside big enough for sunglasses- perhaps with an anti squish function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Class Backpack for Economy Pricing This bag has been with me since the beginning of 2014 and as we're approaching 2018 there is still no daily bag that I reach for as much as my Rogue. I am a fast-moving frequent flier with little time to fuss and make my bag fit just right. The Rogue has been ideal for stuff-and-go practices (it's deceptively roomy), long flights, headed to the firing range or just a jaunt on my bike. With a couple of quick tugs and snaps, the bag is ready to roll. The fabric has been SO TOUGH--I have beaten the crud out of this bag and it shows virtually no signs of wear. The water bottle pouch is awesome, laptop sleeve is great and the accompanying pockets are just right. The velcro has begun to wear out a bit, but that's to be expected...thankfully the designers popped those awesome buckles on the front. For the price, functionality and durability of this bag there is no other choice in it's class. I've owned five bags from Timbuk2 from various collections and this is the best backpack I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful backpack Really like this backpack- it holds surprisingly a lot, and the design for the top/closure is flexible to accommodate how much you've got in there. Color is also great in person (better than in pics) and hard to get dirty - have gotten compliments on how it looks! Cons- wish there were more organizing pockets on the exterior, and also wish there were potential cup holders on either side of the backpack (one side is just blank/unused - also would be nice to switch up which side I hold my water bottle so I'm not always unevenly sloping to right).
