Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect. Overall great. Thought I'd add a review as someone who bought the bag versus receiving it free for review . First, the price made me hesitate, but it had key features that I was looking for. It was worth keeping because i found it functionally and aesthetically well designed in a simple way. The outer pockets are thoughtfully sized and placed. I do wonder why the outer pockets, particularly the side pockets and the magnet one, isn't built to pop out just a little more. Feels like they push into the main compartment of the bag if you want to put something bulky in. I was lookikg for a backpack that was just the right size, not too big but that could fit all my stuff on days where I need to carry extra. This hits the mark. I use packing cubes to keep things separate so I like that the main compartment is just one big space. Love that it expands, although it expands more at the top which makes it look a little weird in this mode. The one inner pocket is handy for keeping smaller items like my wallet separate. I did initially wonder why it isn't zippered and maybe bigger, but haven't found it necessary to have anything more in use. Computer case is a good size and feels secure with good padding, a solid closure and a little stopper on the bottom to keep it from hitting when you put the bag down. There is a side zipper, as others have mentioned, it's hard to get a 15" laptop in/out this way. This zipper does allow access to the compartment (say if stashing a wallet there) without having to take the bag of completely, which is handy. Can't speak to how weatherproof it is but water seems to bead off. As for the zipper catching the storm flap, yeah it totally does. To avoid, I flip the storm flap back before closing the bag and it has become a non issues for me. Despite some oddities, I'm really digging this bag. It's comfortable. I naturally find a spot for all my stuff and can easily find and access them when needed, which ultimately means this bag is pretty perfect for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great commuting & travel pack, but storm flap is ANNOYING As an owner of a regular Parker Pack, I was excited to review the lightweight weatherproof version. My only gripe with the regular Parker was the weight, and at 2.54 lbs, the Parker Light comes in almost a full pound lighter, and this is very noticeable. As I mentioned in my Parker review, I ended up liking the vertical design, which helped distribute weight well and keep it closer to my back. The design also fit perfectly under an airline seat and used the space well. The magnetic snaps on the chest, waist, and compression straps are neat and functional, and the mesh back never felt hot. My laptop and anything else in the pack always felt well protected. I also am a fan of the reflective panels and straps for added safety at night. Since it's lighter than the regular Parker, I would've rated it higher than the Parker Pack, but one thing was more and more annoying as I used the pack: the storm flap over the main zipper is made from the same thinner material as the rest of the pack so it easily snags in the zipper (see picture comparison). Since it's thinner it's also less rigid, so you can't keep it folded back. I would recommend they add a very thin insert inside the storm flap to fix this issue, and then I'd rate this pack 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for commuters carrying computer equipment I use this primarily while commuting within the city. I live in Philadelphia and use the subway/bus systems for my daily commute. Generally, I've found this is perfect for carrying my laptop and related equipment (cords, etc.) It's much lighter than I expected, and it's incredibly comfortable, though I haven't had the chance to try it out during a humid Philly summer yet. The only thing I don't especially like is that the backpack is slightly too long for my body (I'm 5'2", and while I have a fairly long torso, I'm still short.) Taller people probably won't have this issue, but shorter purchasers probably need to keep this in mind. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent backpack This backpack is really durable and light weight. At first, when I touch the material, it feels thin. However when I try to tear it, it is durable. The slim shape is really good for biking. Many pockets and useful side pockets. I am impressed with the snap clips which is really easy to use. The zips are durable. The only complain is I do not like is the velcro in the bag is kind of rough. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great backpack for all types of traveling I used this backpack for commuting and also traveling. It is as the zippers are hidden and when I'm on a busy CTA train where pickpocket is a usual, I don't need to be super self-conscience on keeping my backpack in sight at all times. With the zippers being tucked away it does make the zippers stuck on the backpack material around the zippers, so it makes it hard to zip and go. I have to carefully open and close the backpack every time. I would buy this backpack again even with the zipper issue. It is lightweight and does keep my belonging safe. Love all the pockets to keep myself organized. It is very stylish and makes me want to show off my great backpack to others. I was not aware of this product before this program, and now makes me more likely to keep an eye on this brand and their other products. I would recommend this product to all my CTA commuters and travellers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best backpack for bikers I wasn't aware of this particular model, but I was aware of Timbuk2 and their quality. This backpack, though, absolutely takes the cake. It's pretty much as if someone just thought of all my commuting needs and met them. First of all it's got an awesome giant reflective part on the back, which makes it totally ok and extra safe even to have a black backpack for evening commutes. Secondly, it's water and weatherproof. There's plenty of pockets to store all you need for a commuting lifestyle and I love the size and the quality. Timbuk2 can really make a great bag and with their lifetime warranty, it's not only a smart bet, it's a safe one. I would definitely recommend this backpack. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Space for lots of things This is a very comfortable, lightweight backpack that worked well for me during my most recent theme park trip. It was very comfortable but without the chest strap clipped my shoulders did feel achy after a day at the parks. The bag had sufficient space for all my things but i did feel like there were a lot of zippers and not all lead anywhere. I actually added a keychain so that I could indentify the zipper to the main section and do wish more practice pockets were included. I also found it to be very sweaty in the Florida sun despite claiming to be airfares. This would be an excellent bag for travel, carry on, commutting, but for all day use in hot outdoor conditions I would probably choose something a bit more airy. I received this sample in exchange for an honest review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Quality Hand's down, this is a fine example of the saying "You get what you pay for". This bag is simply amazing. I still find myself discovering new pockets and features, and I have been using it daily for going on 2 weeks. The quality is outstanding, from the straps down to every inch of the bag. The reflection strip on the back works well at night, and it made me feel confident cycling at night knowing I had that extra bit of security there to help drivers see me. The zippers are extremely high quality, and I never had them get stuck or any of those other headaches that come with zippers. At one point, I had the bag completely loaded down, and it was extremely heavy. The straps remained comfy, and I felt confident that the bag could handle the weight just fine. Honestly the only "negative" I could find with the bag, is the small flaps that cover the zippers. They sort of slow down the zippers sometimes or get in the way a bit, but it's honestly so small that it's hardly worth mentioning. All things considered, that is the only negative I could find, and that is pretty impressive to me. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
