Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit my 15" laptop I have a 15" Lenovo laptop. It won't fit in the laptop area of this backpack. The rounded laptop area corners probably work nice for some machines (macs) but not for others. I bought this to replace a 10 year old Timbuk2 "Track" backpack which I absolutely love and which holds my 15" laptop with room to spare. That old bag has been around the world multiple times and is still going strong. I'm returning this new "Command" bag and sticking with my old one (FYI I just discovered you have to pay for return shipping in cases like this). Does Timbuk2 make backpacks with larger laptop sleeves than this? They don't have ratings for sizes bigger than 15" laptops.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool bag, minor issue, but GREAT customer service This bag is hands down awesome! Lots of pockets, well thought out and designed. However, I do agree with others that the straps are uncomfortable. I'm only returning this because it's just not large enough for my needs. Also, their customer service is SPECTACULAR.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Backpack, but needs important changes The Command Backpack is great for someone like me- always with a laptop, an e-reader and a tablet, with a couple of notebooks with lots of pens, chargers, cables and other little things that need good organizational pockets. However, the backpack sorely misses a waterbottle and coffee pocket that ACTUALLY work. The waterbottle pocket on the side is tiny. My water bottle has fallen out of my backpack quite a few times. Now I have to carry a tote bag in addition to carry my coffee mug and waterbottle. I wish Timbuk2 makes inside pockets for this bg like it has for its other messenger bags. It'll be close to perfect then!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bag is the best The. Best. Backpack. I bought bag near the end of high-school. Now it is carrying me through university away from home. It's my school bag, my duffle bag, my grocery bag, my emergency bag. Every day it's holding at least 20 pounds. It doesn't matter how you like to organize your stuff, what you like to bring, or how much your carrying. Got a small load? No problem. I don't know why or how, but unlike other bags, this one doesn't get all saggy when it's empty. Got a huge amount of stuff you need to lug? No problem. The thing is like a Tardis, it's bigger on the inside. Most importantly, it doesn't suffer from pocket-fever. I'm so sick of backpack designers thinking: "Okay, this guy is a student right? And students have calculators right? And my pocket calculator is this big, so we should make a pocket 4 cm by 7 cm for all these students calculators!" This thing has 6 zippered compartments (not including the laptop holder). The main compartment is one. The secondary compartment has two zippered compartments inside it, each big enough to hold a pop can. The sunglasses holder is decently sized, and the last compartment is on the front (or is it back?) of the pack and is big enough to hold my large laptop charger and a couple of other cables. The only pockets that I don't really use are the hard-drive pockets in the secondary compartment (not zippered). I don't need them and they don't get in the way. All the other pockets are large enough that I can store a couple of reasonably sized items in them for easy access. Perfection. Another really underrated feature of this bag is the tablet pocket in the laptop compartment. Because the whole compartment is re-enforced, I put any important papers in the tablet pocket. That way they can't get scuffed or crumpled. Enjoy this pack! You'll take it everywhere!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality I love the style and the quality of this backpack. Only wish the beverage holder pocket is deeper and bigger. A water bottle often falls off from the pocket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stylish. Spacious. Not recommended for carrying heavy items. I bought this bag as an everyday bag. It functions well for everyday use the straps are thin and become uncomfortable if you are carrying heavy items. I traveled with this bag for a week in Myanmar, and although it fit _a lot_ of things in it (I think it's a 30L bag), the shoulder straps are really thin and became really uncomfortable. Even in everyday use, I found carrying a 15" laptop can be quite uncomfortable as well. If they can thicken the padding, this bag would be great. In a summary, if you need a stylish bag where you need to carry a lot of light things, this is ideal. However if you are carrying some heavier items, you may want to also look at other options as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well designed, but I lost my water bottle on first trip ;( It's a nice bag, high quality, and I got compliments, even from my dad. On my first trip, I appreciated all the pockets--well designed and a big step up from my previous travel bag. But the other reviewers are right: there's something wrong about the pocket that's supposed to hold the water bottle. Even having been warned by those comments, I still lost my nice stainless steel water bottle on the first vacation, about 3 days into the trip. I won't drink from plastic bottles, so I had to waste time and $ shopping for a replacement water bottle mid-trip. I feel like I should be reimbursed from Timbuk2 for the cost of the replacement water bottle. And now, of course, I can't rely on that "feature," which had been one of the selling points. arg! Why is it so hard to buy a product that is well designed, all around?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terribly Designed Bag This is one of the worst designed bags i've ever used. It looks beautiful, but performs terribly. The way the second, front compartment is placed makes it fall forward. The front compartment is not seated on the bottom of the bag so anything put in it will not rest on the bottom and cause the bag to fall forward. In addition it has one very shallow side bottle holder. The side bottle holder is also stitched flush to the bottom with no room to expand on the bottom, which means that any bottle put in it will stick out sideways and also push into the bag.
