Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.

Excellent tentThis is my first rooftop tent and I love it. Be sure to research how to attach it to your vehicle before buying. The description should have said you will need another rack other than your stock rack that came with the vehicle. Super durable and easy to setup. Love it!

Quality Construction - Takes Forever to Set upThe Good:
- excellent insulation qualities (especially when the extra rain fly is on)
- comfortable/quality design
- plenty of windows/openings (fully functional bug netting)
- space is good -- comfortable fit 2 people + gear or squeeze three adults
- bedding is comfortable and the tent/floor is easy to clean out
The Bad:
- takes absolutely forever to set up (I've set up my tent maybe 15 times and have the set-up/take-down to ~20 minutes from start to finish)
- difficult to set up the window awning unless you physically get out on the roof of the car (at least in my experience with the FJ roof)
- pretty heavy/large RTT (roof top tent), even when packed up -- creates a significant amount of drag but no wind-whistle to my knowledge
Closing thoughts:
Overall this is a well-built RTT that I think is perfect for Spring-Fall camping. I've used it in the desert, alpine, forests, and beach -- have been comfortable through rain storms, light hail, and strong winds (30mph+). There are plenty of features that allow for the regulation of temperature (e.g. windows + awning zippers). If you want to be able to quickly arrive at campsite, set up your shelter and perhaps plan to leave in the morning -- this may not be the RTT for you... there are more mobile/simple setup options available. Other than that, no complaints.

Easy to StealBought this product a month ago & was jacked off the back of my truck which is disappointing to say the least. It's surprising that Thule doesn't provide hardware and complete set-ups that are tamper proof and less likely to be stolen. Do not recommend if you do not have a secure storage area to keep the tent - but even then it could be stolen when you're out using it anyway.

Get The RuggedizedI’ve had mine now for 7 years and love it! There are some fancier RTTs on the market but you can’t beat the reliability of a Tepui Ruggedized.

Tepui as Prairie SchoonerI bought the ruggedized Tepui Kukenam in June 2020. I ran it on top of my Toyota FJ for almost a year and spent about 15 nights in it, from Summer heat on the beaches of VA and Delaware to a chilly Fall trip in NorthernNew Hampshire and VT. I will offer that for maximum comfort temperature-wise, you must master the use of the "skylight" windows for ventilation! Also, I installed a layer of Reflec-tex insulation under the vapor barrier (under the mattress) this helps tremendously in keeping body heat in - without it you lose a lot of heat to airflow under the tent. And, at the beach, don't deploy until the sun goes down, you will be setting yourself up for a hot evening. We have traveled with two adults and one child and been comfortable in the cooler climes - at the beach it was a bit too close and sticky for 3.
Set up and tear down has become easier with each use and we've now got it down to about a 15 minute deploy time w/two hands. I have single handed deploying and stowing it and it is do-able, you have to be efficient and mindful of your process or it will be a tedious task up and down.
In August '21, my XVenture XV2 arrived and we transferred the tent to it. My son and I traveled to Montana and back to VA two weeks ago, camping in a variety of conditions on both legs of the trip, including 18 degrees and heavy frost in IN and high winds in SD. The rain fly kept the frost off the canvas and it dried out quickly, thus we were able to stow the tent sooner and be on our way. On the rim of the Badlands (pictured) we experienced about an hour of 30mph+ gusts in the middle of the night. We were awakened by the noise and the trailer's movement, but never felt like we couldn't ride it out.
So far, so good. There are many options in the market for RTTs and I looked at many before purchasing this one and it serves our needs very well and I happily recommend it to those who ask. Criticisms that I do have are that the pockets inside are too small and too close to the mattress; there is no central overhead D-ring/hanger for a lamp and no rings to attach a clothesline inside. We are working on those points.

Decent but there are better options for pricePurchased a month ago. It is easy to install and Made with quality materials. Easy to setup and seems solid with good fitting cover.
After using on a long trip, the mat is not comfortable at all. Very hard on the back and side. The tent does not do well in winds. It was a consistent 10 mph wind and it was terrible. I had a competitors tent that was much better and a lot more comfortable. If I could get my money back I would.

I like it a lot.I’ve spent 10 nights in it so far and am pretty happy. Wind and rain aren’t much of a problem. It gets quicker every time I set it up - 8 minutes start to finish is the quickest so far. 12 minutes to pack it back up. I leave my bag and pillows in it which is nice. Downsides - the mattress is awful. I’m going to try a mattress topper for it because there isn’t much give to this thing. It’s rock hard. Maybe it will break in? Fingers crossed. The only other downside is waiting for it to dry. I’ve been closing it wet because in the woods where I camped there isn’t much sun. So I drove to the beach and popped it open to dry. Not a huge deal - everything gets wet where I camp in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (along Lake Michigan). Oh, get a brush to get the sand off the ladder before you fold it up.
