The Thule GoalPost Truck Rack is a simple solution for traveling with a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard up on your truck. Happens all the time, all the camp gear is in the bed of the truck, so where does that leave the boat? The front lawn won't do, so grab the mast and pop it into your 2" receiver. Adjust the telescoping mast appropriately to match up with the crossbar on your cab's rooftop (rooftop crossbar not included). Load the boat, tie 'er down and get to the campgrounds.

FEATURES of the Thule GoalPost Truck Rack

  • Hitch mounted, height adjustable load bars
  • Anti-sway design for stable, more secure transport
  • Telescoping mast adjusts to truck cab heights
  • 58" Thule steel load bar with durable plastic coating
  • 2 Load stops to help stabilize and hold load
  • Works with 2" receivers only

Can I carry a 24ft extension ladder with this rack

Asked by: George
Hey, George! Why ladders when you could be hauling fun things like kayaks! If you need a kayak, we have some - go check them out. But if you want to stick with boring, non floating ladders for now, the GoalPost could be used in conjunction with other racks (i.e. roof racks) to fully secure the load. For example, if you have a truck with a roof rack, secure majority of ladder to the top and the overhang then secured to the GoalPost. The GoalPost has a load capacity of 165 pounds, for your information.

Can I use this rack to carry two Kayaks?

Asked by: TommyBoy
Hey TommyBoy, thanks for asking! The width of the load bar on the Thule GoalPost is 58". You should be able to hold two kayaks as long as they aren't hanging beyond the 58" load bar, aren't over the total weight allowed by your roof rack, and are secured according to the instructions. I hope this helps!
