Rated 4 out of 5 by from Something of a revelation. Bought 2 of these. Admit to lacking faith in them as soon as they arrived - insubstantial ( gossamer, rather than poorly made), improbably light and pack down to the size of a trail pillow (and far less than that if stuffed in to your pack). How could this keep you warm, even in the summer? They do, though, and rather well. We sleep warm and 13 degree night temperatures presented no problems, and, if anything, we were almost too warm. I'd estimate 11 degrees would be fine for us. We wore pjamas, t-shirt and a light fleece ( no socks). Quicker and easier to take out and stow away than bag and stuff sack. Possibly too short if you are over six feet. We weren't troubled by crinkling noises others have complained of. Quite expensive, I suppose, until you look at what an ultralight bag will cost you. Lovely colours, particularly the saffron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good to bring along anywhere I took this to Patagonia for field work in the wind and cold as an emergency warmth... and used it even in the rooms at night when the electricity went out. it packs down reasonably well and does a nice job of keeping me warm.. light and useful. I will use this to beef up my sleeping back and also as a blanket all year for being outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and warm. We've taken this out backpacking a couple of times and it worked as advertised. It very warm even down to the mid 40's. Packs away easy taking up very little room and at just over a pound it doesn't add much to the pack, it's about half the size of my ultralight bag. The foot can be cinched down so it can trap more heat when it's chilly. It has built in clips for attaching to a Therm-a-Rest pad for extra comfort. And the fact that it's waterproof is great. I don't have to worry about it getting wet from dew, condensation or sweat. The exterior shell resists nicks and abrasions really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a fan of the Proton blanket .... perfect for my ENO Extremely warm for the 1 lb weight. Can't yet tell how to snap the straps to any Thermarest mattress but , looking forward to figuring it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blanket! I definitely like the blanket over a full sleeping bag ... especially down here in the south. Legs hanging out is a must in these parts. Getting it folded back up is a little confusing the first few times but it works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super useful and light weight I love using down sleeping bags but condensation in the morning makes them wet especially if it's getting packed away in my backpack for the day. This waterproof blanket is a great water repellent that keeps my sleeping bag dry and free of dew. It's also nice spring camping when it's a bit chillier, the blanket adds warmth but is light and packs down super small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for NC This blanket radiates your heat back to you - great for late spring, summer and early fall. It packs down small. I use it mostly for my motorcycle trips. Worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for fall nights I'm a hammock camper and live in the south east. I wanted a light alternative to my sleeping bag for fall nights where the temp dips into the mid to low 50's. This weekend I had my first chance to use the bag. Night time temp's got down to 56, and this quilt was great to take the chill off. I cinched the bottom foot box and snapped the first snap, then slipped it over my sleeping pad. This kept it in place around my feet and kept my feet nice and toasty. The top was nice as a quilt so that I could tuck it around my shoulders. Was plenty warm even on the sides where my sleeping pad didn't cover. Nice an light, warm, flexible configurations, a perfect summer/fall quilt.
