Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quick and easy hammock camping kit Thought I had written a review of this before but I guess not. So here we go. This was my introduction to Therm-a-Rest hammocks. Previous to this, I had only lounged in nylon hammocks for a couple of hours. I bought this because I took a road trip last year through areas where the idea of hammock camping sounded great but I also knew weather could be an issue. The hammock itself is great. In fact, I ended up buying one of the Slacker hammocks to use for goofing off this year because of how comfortable this one in is. The material is far nicer feeling than nylon. It's roomy enough for a diagonal lay. If you only want to invest in one hammock to use for camp and lounge, the bug netting can be rolled completely to one side. It comes with the Slacker straps! Most hammocks worth their salt don't come with straps but since this is sold as a system, it comes with straps! They are extremely simple to use. Making small adjustments is all done at the buckles and the buckles act as water breaks when it rains. (The carabiners on the hammock itself will also act as water breaks.) It's just so easy. Setting up the whole kit is a flash. Pull out your straps for the fly/bug netting and attach them to the trees. Attach the fly to the straps with a hook at each end. Guy lines are hiding in each corner of the fly, pull them out and use the included stakes to stretch it out. You now have shelter overhead from sun or rain to set-up the hammock using the slacker straps. Hammock stays protected in its bag as you attach one end and string it out. Use the stretchy cords on the bug net to attach it to the fly straps and you're ready to go. It's as fast and sensibly laid out as possible when you're being hunted by clouds of hungry mosquitoes. Only thing I'd suggest is double checking to make sure you add water breaks just under the fly edges for the netting cords. Throw your quilt and pad in, under quilt or warmer if you're using those, and enjoy a great sleep out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Sleepin' Very easy to set up. The straps are plenty long enough. I really like the material used better than the parachute hammocks. Bug netting came in handy even as a daytime hang as most places you find trees to hang from, you find mozzies. In fact, mozzies are the only drawback. They'll get you while setting up and they'll get you if you don't put padding between you and the sheet you're laying in. Other than that, I'll constantly be on the look out for places to hang this when camping versus my normal tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product Solid product. Sets up easy and is super comfortable. I bought this as an alternative to bringing my 3 person tent on canoe trips and it's a noticeable improvement for my solo system. Downsides are it can take a little while to pack away and without the ability to peg out the sides of the hammock itself it tends to sway a lot in the wind. Other then that, it's a great product for the money.
