The Therm-a-Rest Corus HD Quilt Sleeping Bag is designed for backpackers, thru-hikers, and travelers keen on weight savings and versatility. As a blanket-style quilt, it can be used just like your comforter at home, or you can tuck it under a sleeping pad to secure it around you. Featuring Nikwax™ hydrophobic down, this quilt will maintain its thermal performance if exposed to moisture. Along with the footbox and side draft tube construction, reflective ThermaCapture™ seams offer further warmth retention by ensuring your body heat won't escape through the seam stitching. This technical down quilt packs down small into a stuff sack, and also includes a bag to store the quilt in its uncompressed state at home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I used the quilt for three nights on Kelley's island with lows in the 60's. I found the quilt to be very comfortable and I slept well. I'm 6'2" and the quilt was a good fit, though I did not have to pull it over my head. I slept on a large black camping mat on a cot, so I haven't tested it with a true backpacking sleeping pad or in a hammock. I did not use the foot box. I liked the baffles on the sides and I believe they helped eliminate drafts, and the EE quilts do not have this feature. The size and packability is great. It packed down extremely small in the provided stuff sack. It lofts really well. My only complaint is during the second night I noticed a bit of a wonky smell to the down in the quilt. It actually didn't bother me as I did not have to have it over my head. I noticed one other reviewer said this. I hung it up in my sunroom when I got home and it went away. Not sure if moisture in the air caused it, or something else. I'll try one more time before I pass judgment. Overall good quilt. I definitely want it to work as a replacement for all of my sleeping bags (35*, 55*, and 40*).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Corus sold me on quilts as the go-to for most adventures This quilt is money. I've used it for the past three months on a motorcycle trip through Central America. So far I have used it as a stand-alone quilt as the temperature has never dipped below 45 F. It has kept me warm every night. Now we are travelling through South America where the temperatures are colder, so I will pair it with my sleeping bag for the colder nights. The Corus is a great addition to anyone's outdoor gear arsenal since it covers such a wide range of temperatures. The foot box is excellent and helps keep your feet covered and warm. There are also snaps that connect the quilt to a Thermarest sleeping bag, which I have not used yet, but I am sure they will work great. The Hydrophobic Down dries out very well, does not clump, and retains loft when wet. I have nothing but great things to say about this quilt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome - successfully killed my mummy bag Have used this on two outings so far and it's vastly superior to a mummy bag for comfort and weight. Looking forward to trying it out as the temperature drops in the fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost too light to believe When I unpacked my Corus quilt for the first time I wondered how this could possibly be warm enough for Pacific NW coast camping - but with the NeoAir XTherm its a perfect pair. Cozy on cold nights, easy to regulate temperatures on warm evenings by simply hanging your leg out the side. Camp quilts feel so much more like sleeping at home, with the benefit of both weight and space savings. Moving from a self inflating mattress, and traditional full sleeping bag to the Corus HD and NeoAir have dramatically reduced my camp kit size and weight. Should have made the move long ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really compact and quite comfortable Used it for two nights so far and really like it. It's compact enough to stuff it into the small stuff sack pillow together with a XTherm mattress (both large size) while being more comfortable than a classic sleeping bag. Thermal rating seems to fit for me, but I generally don't need it very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best night sleep. This is a great for camping, it packs smaller than my mummy bag and is warmer. I have used it on a few trips now. My only problem is that my wife now wants one too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The better bag alternative This (and blankets in general) are the new school of comfort for summer nights, and they're way more "technical" than you might think. I've been using this - and all it's predecessors - (the Alpine Blanket and Auriga) for years and there's simply no better way to sleep comfortably outside. I've used them on everything from alpine climbs and backpacks to car camping and watching movies at home (can't do all that with a BAG - let alone just one!) and I've slept comfortably down to the high 30's F. Rolling around freely, sticking a leg out for temperature regulation, and never wondering where the darn zipper is are but a few of the many bennies. They pack super small and weigh less than most bag alternatives, too. Honestly, if you need a new summer "bag", go for it. You will not be disappointed. In fact, you'll be downright surprised - in very good way. PS - I use them mostly with NeoAir XTherms or X-Lites, but using them on a Dreamtime should come with some sort of addiction warning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it ! This is the first camping quilt I have ever purchased and let me tell you, it was one of the best camping gear purchases Ive ever made. This quilt is very light weight weight and compact and when combined with my Neo air mat and mat cover the quilt snaps on perfectly. One thing I was worried about was, because Im a big guy i wasnt sure if it was going to work well when I slept on me side but because of the width and draft tubes there was no cool air coming in.
