Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better fit than in the past!!! Haven't had the opportunity (in TN) to wear yet, but looking forward to being cozy! In the past, I have had trouble with "narrow" sleeves...this fit is perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft, warm, durable, versatile I ordered this item in July so I'm looking forward to using it for downhill skiing, sledding, shoveling, playing in the snow with my young children. I had enjoyed my triclimate ski jacket for over a decade when the shell lining began to disintegrate. TNF honored the return of my old jacket and credited with me with a replacement giftcard. I purchased this newer edition and I can't wait to wear it. The materials feel so soft and high quality. I'm particular on details and this seems just right for me in terms of pocket placements, size, drawstrings, powder skirt, and ease of adding/removing the layers. My only concern is the arm length being too long, feeling and looking a bit oversized, as this is always a brand problem with my 5'3 frame. I wish TNF offered petite sizes. I love, however, that the length is a bit longer on the legs and hips for added warmth on ski lifts. Overall, I'm confident this item will definitely meet my needs in terms of adatability, comfort, and warmth for Northeast winter recreation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! This is a great everyday coat for Minnesota winters. The zipper went out after a couple months but getting a replacement was easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You need this one! I love this jacket! It has two different types of pockets in the front! One to put all your stuff in and the other to keep your hands warm! Teacher approved for the coldest Chicago days while outside for 30-40 minutes doing carpool duty!

Hi, I'm looking for a hip length coat with layers like this instead of my super heavy leather coat for motorcycle riding in cold and sometimes wet weather. Would this coat work?

Asked by: Debbie
Hiya Debbie, thanks for your question! This jacket may work for your purpose. It is definitely warm and waterproof. My concern is that since the hood is fixed, it may not fit over or under your motorcycle helmet. Also, the length might be too long so it could bunch up when you sit on the bike. I would give it a go and see if it works for you!

Hello, what is recommended temperature for this jacket? Thank you

Asked by: Olga
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, The North Face does not temperature rate their jackets. This is because warmth is a subjective thing, unique to each person. Plus, there are other factors that can affect a jacket's warmth like the wind, humidity, activity level, and layers of clothing. With that being said, this Triclimate was designed for snowsport activities- such as skiing and snowboarding. If I had to give a number, I would say low 30's. Any lower than you would need layers. Hope this helps a little!
