Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs small and a bit too warm of a coat I love the style and shape of this coat, but it got too tight around the hips, and I don’t consider my hips that wide. All of my north face jackets I run a medium with some room underneath, but I would have needed a large in this one. Also it’s more of a parka than a rain coat, I would say it would be nice for 40s/50s temperature but I was looking for a summer rain jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I live in the Pacific Northwest and this coat was exactly what I was looking for--waterproof with some insulation and relatively flattering. The problem is that the coat is oddly tight through the chest. If you're a 36 bust or larger, the fit will be uncomfortably tight. I had to return it because of this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect cool spring coat This is a great buy and super functional. I’ve worn it throughout this cold snowy spring. It’s very versatile in that it’s comfortable in the teens all the way into the low 60’s. Very light but cozy with the quilted lining. I have the navy color-really nice dark navy. It also works well in the rain. I’ve worn it in a downpour and stay d totally dry. Hood fits well and detaches. I’m 5’3” 125 lbs and the small fits great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I am very happy with my coat! It is heavy enough to keep you warm in snowy weather but also not bulky. Love that you can pull the waist tighter to give the coat another look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Spring jacket ever purchased! I bought this to take on our trip to the UK. Seeing that it was going to be 50 and raining the entire time I wanted something rainproof and warm, more insulated than a rain slicker. It has been the beat jacket purchase of my life! And is the perfect jacket for the crazy spring weather in the USA as well. I am 5’9 and 150 lbs and it fit perfect with the ability to pull in the insides to make it more fitted. It looks great and has 2 hidden pockets and two deep side pockets, perfect to carry everything. I didn’t even need to take a purse with me on my day adventures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Parka! We had an exceptionally cold winter this year in East Texas. This jacket was great - keep me dry and warm through the whole winter. Lightweight, but very warm and cozy. Love this jacket!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Perfect I bought this jacket for a year long trip to Europe. I wanted something that was light enough to be versitle in different seasons but still warm enough for the cold days. I’m 5’6” with an average build (I bought a size medium) and the jacket comes to my thighs. It has super deep and lined pockets (this helps keep small things inside when you forgot to zip them up and keeps your hands warm while in them). The waist cinch is a feat addition to help keep your figure (even when you hav a thousand layers on). The pocket in the sleeve was perfect for my metro card so I didn’t have to fumble around for it in my purse when trying to get on the subway. The detachable hood is great too. The only downside is that the hood itself is quite small but it still does the job. Overall this jacket is perfect and I am seriously in love with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great winter coat I bought this coat with intentions of replacing my “bulky, heavy, short, out of date winter coat”. I wanted a coat that was longer, lighter and provided me with the same waterproof/windproof coverage. This coat has done EXACTLY that! I’m very happy with the coverage, style and fit and would highly recommend this coat. Haven’t had trouble with the zipper As previous reviews mentioned. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi, Is the new taupe green what is shown in the video?

Asked by: Kristin
Thanks for the question! We are working on getting an image for the New Taupe Green color option. I grabbed one from our warehouse and would say it is darker than the color in the video. I would describe it as Camo Green or Olive Green. I hope this helps a little!

How warm is this jacket

Asked by: Pattie57
Hey there, Thanks for the question. The North Face doesn't provide temperature ratings for their products so we can't give an exact temperature that this would be warm to, however, the Ancha Parka is a shell parka designed for spring weather. It's primary function is to keep you dry, but it also contains some light insulation (100 g of Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation), so it works best on cooler spring days. It would not work as a stand-alone jacket in winter weather as it is not designed for extreme or winter temperatures. I hope this helps.
