Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! I bought this jacket one week ago. I was not sure if I would be able to choose the right size for me but the sizing charter worked perfectly. I liked the color, too. The inner jacket's color is nicer (darker) than it looks on the website. I wear it as a independent jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and warm inner fleece I bought this jacket about a month ago and love it. The inner fleece jacket is very warm and soft. I have worn both separately and work great in cold weather. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Favorite! I purchsed this because of it's 3-in-1 capabilities and to transition into warmer/wetter spring. I've had it for a month and so far it has been working out perfectly. Shorter than I prefer for very cold weather (I have another TNF for that purpose), but it still keeps me warm. The outer shell has proven helpful in the rain and the hood is large enough to keep the wind/rain out of my face; also appreciate the velcro sleeves that adjust easily. I'm 5'3" and 130 and ordered size small. The fit is snug over a heavy sweater with the lining inserted, but I still have room to move; no fit issues with less layers. I have been getting complements since purchasing and would definitely recommend if looking for a multi-purpose piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket ever I absolutely love this jacket. I hate the winter weather and I'm always cold but this one really keeps me warm. It also feels so soft. I usually get wool material jacket but this one is way better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Big Bend! I purchased this jacket for a trip to Big Bend National Park in West Texas. Thanks to a recent cold snap in Houston, I’ve been wearing jacket with the liner in, but I’ve also used the liner and outer jacket separately. Super warm, super flexible. I’m incredibly happy with my purchase. I’m 5’4” and 118 lbs. and the Small fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, and versitile Got this as a 3-season jacket to wear in Boston, and since we've had 3 seasons in the past month (ha!) I'm very glad I got this. The sweatshirt inside is perfect for when it's 50-60 degrees, the outer shell alone is good for 40-50 degrees (even when it rains) and the double jacket combo is perfect when it's really cold. It's great when it rains too, it does not get soaked. My only issue is I ordered a Medium, which usually is fine, but this jacket is kinda huge on my size 6 frame. Guess it's good if you want to wear a sweater underneath though. However, something to keep in mind when picking a size. Wish I got a small, but I'm so happy otherwise, it's fine.

Which one is warmer? This or the Arrowood?

Asked by: curious george
Hiya curious george, thanks for your question! The Highanddry is more insulated and a bit warmer than the Arrowood. Hope this helps!

What's the difference between this and the Arrowood?

Asked by: spuddy
HIya spuddy, thanks for your question! Basically the differences are the liners and the HighandDry has a removable hood. The HighandDry liner is an agave luxe (super soft smooth-face fleece) while the Arrowood liner is a 200-weight smooth-face fleece. Hope this helps!

Would this work for extreme winters? Or is it more of a fall coat?

Asked by: christyp
Thanks for the question! The Highanddry Triclimate Jacket has a waterproof, lightly insulated hooded shell with a zip-in midweight fleece liner jacket for flexible coverage in wet, cold conditions. You can for sure wear it in winter weather, but I would not in "extreme" conditions. Hope this helps a little!

I am between this jacket (Garnet Red) and the Thermoball Snow Triclimate Parka, but want to know which one is warmer? And in the photos here, the HighandDry in Garnet Red looks less fitted than the jacket in the other colours. Is it the same jacket?

Asked by: Andrea
Hiya Andrea, thanks for your question! I've heard that the Thermoball Snow Triclimate Parka is warmer than the Highanddry Triclimate Jacket. The liner jacket of the Thermoball is insulated, while the liner jacket of the Highanddry is just a fleece. The Thermoball is also about 2 inches longer. (Yes, the Garnet is the same jacket as the other colors.) Hope this helps!

Which coat is better for colder conditions, this coat or the women's boundary triclimate jacket?

Asked by: Lissa
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, The North Face does not temperature rate their garments. With that being said, both Triclimates offer a fleece liner - however the outer jacket of the Highanddry is insulated. The Boundary outer jacket is just a shell. So if I had to choose between the two, I would go with the Highanddry. Hope this helps a little!
