Product Description Item No.   10269425

The North Face Superlight 15F / -9C Sleeping Bag is a down sleeping bag for backpacking in cold weather. Cold weather down to 15°F to be a little more specific. The 800 fill ProDown™ is treated for water resistance, so never fear damp locations, but I still don't recommend you dunk this baby in a river. Otherwise it'll probably still be cold and wet. It will resist tent condensation and a little dampness, so jump in through the center zip and snuggle in for some shut-eye. The sleek cut, partial draft collar and draft overlap work together to keep all the toasty body heat on the inside, just cinch down the hood as necessary. Up towards the top there is an internal pocket, store your headlamp there so you can grab it quick when you wake in the night, to shine it around the tent to make sure there aren't any creepy crawlies. Storage is easy with an included stuff sack and storage sack, one for the trail and one for home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh so snugglie! I needed to upgrade from my 1.5 season 30-degree sleeping bag (for an upcoming trip to Rainier) and found this bag listed on the Outside Mag's list of best sleeping bags for 2015. I was very excited to find it on Moosejaw for an excellent discount...I suppose since it was "last season". When the package arrived, I immediately noted how light the box felt. This bag is light and compact! But really fluffs up and feels like you are sleeping in a cocoon. I've used it 3 nights backpacking, April in Washington State. This bag keeps me comfortable at the right temperature. I love the front zip. My zipper is a little "sticky" but hopefully that will get worked out. One night at maybe 40-degrees, I did use my 15-degree liner...but only because I had it (and could have put on an extra pair of socks).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design, incredibly light! I haven't used it yet, but will test it out in Utah next week, and on the Colorado trail in July. I'm very pleased with Moosejaw's friendly, fun service, and efficiency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expect the best Actually, I have the very similar High Tail It 3S. It is rated at 17 and has 850 fill power down, otherwise I believe it is the same, and the 3S doesn't seem to be available any longer. I would purchase this bag for sure. The features advertised seemed gimmicky to me, but proved to be well worthwhile. I compared dozens of sleeping bags of this quality on a spreadsheet and this came out best in all respects. Weight low, warmth high. I have used it in freezing conditions on ice and snow (with mattress of course) and was warm nearly naked inside. Zipper catches occasionally, typical of most bags. My bag has a full zipper, but may winter bag for many years had the front half zipper like this one and it saves weight with just a small inconvenience if you use it in warm weather.
