Rated 5 out of 5 by from I do t think I'll ever need another winter jacket! I love the style of this jacket. It fits snug but not too tight. Feels light but it protects from the harshest of all elements! I absolutely love this jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gorgeous looking Coat made for the Cold I use the coat to walk to and from work and i even wear in my car first thing in the morning when its cold. It is a lot heavier and larger than a regular type winter coat but it does keep you very warm and snug. Its design allow free movement for such a large coat and it is extremely well designed with pockets that are easily accessed inside and outside. The zip can be a bit tricky and could do with something more substantial attached to hit to pull it up and down. It comes with a handing bag to put it in and protect it when not being used for long periods. i do worry about cleaning it as its so large and bulky and its made of gortex. Many people have made comments about how great the coat calling me John Snow (Game of thrones :-) but it certainly is warm. I love the coat and Highly recommended to those that walk outdoors regularly in low temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely happy with purchase of Cryos Parka. I live in NY where Winters are brutal. The Cryos Parka more than protects me from the elements. It keeps me warm against the cold and dry against the rain. When I have on my The North Face Cryos Parka, The North Face Balaclava & TNF gloves I feel wrapped in a warm blanket. For me The North Face means brand loyalty. There has not been a The North Face item I have purchased that has let me down and I have coats, gloves, balaclava, back packs, vests & fleece some more than ten years old. Thank you for making a product that lasts and is worth the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5 Stars on warmth 4 on Design This an expensive coat, but my decision was this - I wanted to invest in something that had more features than Canada Goose and dare I say a warmer jacket, all the while saving a few hundos or a hundo depending on the CG jacket you're looking at. It has a lifetime warranty both from North Face and from Gortex, (yes please!) so it's definitely being added to my will with the description of 'the last coat I ever purchased.' Okay, here's what I think of the coat a few weeks in. I purchased the Small in black; which at the time of this review is not being offered in any size, only in the white. This is my first down jacket so I find the puffiness of the jacket a bit much esp around the chest and stomach. Still, the jacket is snug and warm liked you're being bear hugged by a sensitive bear. The down by the way is followed throughout the sleeves and is stitched in so it doesn't shoot out when your arms are in. I've found that at times the coat can be itchy, possibly due to the reaction to the down. The coat cleans easily, so rubbing a sleeve on your salty residue'd car is not a big issue. The faux fur is nice, but I've noticed the random strays of hair left on my clothing. Hopefully shedding doesn't become an issue. Also, while it does keep your face warmer, the faux fur blinds your periphery so crossing the street is terrifying. If I could change some design issues, I would improve the following (feel free to adopt NF, but name each element after me): - If you want to remove the faux fur lining there isn't a way to hide the buttons with material, they're exposed and looks terrible. - The breast pocket has access from the outside and inside and that's a plus. However, it would have been nice that in addition to the outside breast pocket you also had an inside breast pocket, with a separate pocket. - This is a heavy duty coat, and find that the zippers are tough to use with gloves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Heavy Winter Coat This coat is amazing. It's far superior to other similar coats. The weight of the fill is so heavy and incredibly warm. The coat weighs like 5 lbs with nothing in the pockets. Plus it's GORE-TEK so it's completely windproof, waterproof yet still breathes. This coat is keeping me overly warm in this incredible cold we are having in NY right now. The insulation in the hood is also very thick and warm when it's cold out. I love north face products but this is by far my favorite thing i've gotten thus far. The only thing i am not head over heals for is that the sleeves are a little shorter than i would like. They are curved around the hand to make your hands more accessible because this is not a mountaineering coat. It's an urban city coat using top technology borrowed from their summit reaching products. The sleeves do have cuffs inside of them though which keeps the wind out and the pockets are even insulated on both sides and incredibly warm. I would highly recommend this coat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cold in the arms with under 20 temps and wind I bought this jacket a week ago since I live in Maryland and wanted a heavy duty jacket for the below normal temps due to the "bomb cyclone". After using it for a week now, it was fine when the temps were above 20 degrees. Now on Jan 5, it is below 20 degrees and very windy and my arms (especially near where my elbows bend) are freezing. The torso area and my head from the hood are fine. Considering I paid $800 for this jacket, I am very disappointed and I cannot return this jacket since MooseJaw return policy says they will not accept a return if the tags are off even though they jacket is still in perfect condition and I have only worn it a week. For $800, I should have just bought a Canada Goose. So, I am now really bummed about this purchase which is why I rated 3 stars. This was supposed to be my extreme weather jacket which is normally not that often in Maryland, but now I am not that satisfied with my $800 dollars being spent when I could have just worn multiple layers under coats I already owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible jacket for cold northeast winters Bought the Cryos Expedition GTX along with the Canada Goose Langford and Triple F.A.T. Goose Chenega. There are other comparable jackets but these are the 3 that i liked best in terms of look. Hands down this was the winner. It was not even close. This jacket is thick and warm. You'll feel that immediately when you put it on, compared with the CG which feels light and cheap. CG is really all marketing and hype. Don't buy into it. The Triple F.A.T. is okay for the price but if you're willing to pay a bit more you'll get your moneys worth. I've been getting a lot of use out of the Cryos this winter with the cold we've been having and this jacket is legit. I've even worn it in -10 C with a t-shirt underneath and I don't feel a bit cold. It also has solid leg coverage for a men's coat. I also love that it has 4 fleece lined front hand pockets. As well as the outer/inner chest pockets which are great for a cell phone or wallet. The fit is also runs true to size. Not sure what some other reviewers are talking about. i'm 6'0 and 165 and the medium fits like a glove. Last thing I'll say is that they had heavy as a con. i put it as a plus because you can really feel that 800 goose fill power when you wear it. so that's a plus for me. if you want to run or hike in it, then maybe you need something lighter. if you're going to wear it casually then you cannot go wrong here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dare I say "It's the PERFECT jacket" So I honestly think this might be the perfect jacket for the winter and has extreme versatility. The Wind/Waterproof Gortex shell is breatheable and keeps you dry. The jacket is super warm and has armpit zips to let out excess if need (are far too often overlooked feature). The removable skirt is adjustable and adds extra protection from beneath to prevent snow or wind from entering. The other feature that people don't think about is the fact that (in addition to the abundance of pockets) there are pockets inside (under the insulated down) which keeps those products warm. Some jackets only have pockets outside of the insulation, but that won't keep electronics warm. Also, there are soft, flexible, non-scratch mesh inner pockets which are great for goggles or sunglasses. The outer hand-warmer pockets are fleece lined and at the right height to comfortably place your hands (many jackets don't position these pockets correctly which leads to awkwardness when you want to walk with your hands in your pockets). Even the adjustable cuffs are done with craftsmanship. I would recommend this jacket to anyone with no hesitation. It has the features and functionality of my favorite snowboard jacket with an urban stylish look. Catch me if you can this winter everyone!
