Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Design but Falls Short on Warmth and Durability The fabric is very thin and not comfortable against your skin. I have a lot of TNF apparel, but none feels as fragile as this one. I feel like the seams may tear up after a few washes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smartest, most useful base layer on the market No need to stuff a neck warmer in the neckline of your jacket or up under your helmet. The shirt takes care of it all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from thin breathable material for light base not for braving cold Would be good for cool day but material is soooo thin it is not what I expected when you hear brave the cold conditions. I was expecting a thicker material to keep the heat in. This is more of an active style layer that allows to breath. Not quite worth it for the price.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what you wanted Exactly what you wanted, works exactly how you had hoped. Face mask works correctly, easy to breathe, material holds some warmth. Using this shirt for trail running during winter months in Salt Lake City and surrounding mountains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Design I love the design of this shirt. I've been doing some long-distance training in the Idaho winter and looking for something that won't soak me under a running jacket. This comes close. I've worn it twice and am very happy so far. It is lightweight so don't think of it as a keep you toasty base layer when you are hanging around outside. Instead it's more like a technical base layer shirt for active pursuits. To stay warm sub-40 degrees, you'll need some additional layers. My favorite feature is the high neck. Another review complained about the material, but I think it's very thoughtful and was designed by someone who does aerobic activity in the winter. It's a light tight knit mesh that is double layered so you can easily breath through it even while running but with the 2nd layer it doesn't seem to build up moisture or freeze your breath. Brilliant design and just what I was looking for to have the option to have a balaclava like feature later in hour plus runs or when the temps dip or winds pick up. And it's comfortable when worn down as well which was a concern of mine but I appreciated the additional coverage while feeling soft about the neck & none-too-stuffy. The material does have some micro-waffle texture on the inside which probably helps with wicking but did cause some chafing on my first 6 mile run. For my 2-hour one today some well-placed band-aids did the trick. Well worth it though for a minor issue. Love this shirt. Great long length too. Thumb hole & all. I can tell it will be my go-to base layer for long winter runs. Highly recommended.
