DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I ordered this coat and they didn’t have it in that color so they offered me a discount and I got another color for just a little less, love the coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking jacket! Bought this because of a upcoming move up north. The whole jacket is a little too warm for southwest winters but looks and feels great. The shell would be ideal just as a rain coat, and the the liner actually looks pretty good. I'm not usually a fan of puffy jackets but the liner is less puffy than pictured which was a pleasant surprise. Overall a very practical and useful jacket that looks and feels great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 Amazing Coats In One! This was an amazing purchase. Although I was weary of the price, this is the ultimate coat for any and all weather conditions! The 3 options given for the use of the coat keep you warm in fall/wither and in the spring/summer shield you from the rain! Very stylish as well and fits comfortably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm and durable I picked up this jacked for work as I have to be out in the weather often and waterproof/windproof were a must. The shell has proven to be quite durable and the lining is very light, but has been very warm. Really happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for cold weather resort skiing Great in the 20s and below. Got hot tree skiing and poleing. Now that I know my temp range, I'll layer differently for spring conditions. Unzipped everything and cooled down quickly. Highly breathable. Even the down jacket liner wicked quickly and dried off. Versatile to a fault.

Do these jackets tend to run a bit large?  I’m 5’7”, 180 # medium gut.

Asked by: MIchigan
Thank you for the question! The Men's Altier Down Triclimate Jacket does not run large. It is true to size and has a "standard" fit - meaning it has neither a loose, nor tight fit. Based on the measurements you gave me, you would want a size Medium. Hope this helps!
