Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile I work as a Heli pilot in Alaska year round and have to camp out at job sites sometimes and it's always good to have something warm incase of a breakdown especially in the winter. I have not slept in this outside in colder then -10F but how I felt at that temp, I'am sure it would work great in -40F with maybe a thin layer on at worse. What I like about the bag also is that I have used it in 60 degree weather and still been very comfortable with it unzipped I was worried I would cook myself out overnight. I also use a aftermarket stuff sack and can really get this thing packed down I wouldn't recommend leaving it like that too long. Although it has lofted very well 30 minutes after unpacking when it was packed down like this. I would defiantly recommend it, it is well worth the money and quality seems excellent too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heaven I have the predecessor model which is same as this with a side zipper. LOVE IT. I sleep super warm in well below 0F temperatures and laugh at my poor companions with lesser bags. But it is big. In my opinion this bag gives you the confidence to explore cold weather you might otherwise feel underequipped for. It's more important than a good parka

I am a woman who's 5'2. With all honesty would this be a good fit? I'm looking for a sleeping bag suitable for my Everst 2019 expedition.

Asked by: nellyattar
Hey there, Nelly! Great question, and we love that you're heading to Mt. Everest next year. We asked one of our gear experts about this (he's also a mountain climber), and here's what he said: 1.) You're going to have a hard time finding a bag that is less than 6' in length. The extended length of this bag is going to be a little long for you. 2.) Warmth is more important than length, since the extra space just leaves more room for the warmth to be trapped inside with you. We recommend two bags for your needs: The Western Mountaineering Bison Gore Windstopper Sleeping Bag is definitely our top choice: https://bit.ly/2lU5UUJ A solid back-up choice would be the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Sleeping Bag: https://bit.ly/2u3XsqH I hope this helps!
