Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Really nice jacket, good priceBeen shopping around for a wool winter jacket like this one, and saw the price and the weight of the wool, and decided to pull the trigger! No regrets. Bought this in June, so cant comment on how well it does in cold weather, but it's wool. Will say this, held jacket up to window and can see faint light through fabric, perhaps helps with breathability, and with overall weight and thickness of the wool , I don't think it will be a detriment. Sizing seems to be in line with any purchase I've made. I got the 2x, I'm 5'7" 240 lbs with a 50" chest and 19" biceps {somewhat stout} Fits well, bicep area just bordering on slightly snug with a thick wool sweater on, no problem though! If your looking for a good looking wool jacket, this is it! Intend to where this in upstate Pa. on hunting trips, during non hunting time, and around home while gathering firewood during winter.

Nice wool jacketThere's things I like about this coat and things I don't. It's well made and 100% wool. The description says "Virgin Wool" but it's a bit scratchy to the skin compared to a Hudson Bay blanket. It's also very densely woven and it's warm for reasonable temperatures. It's also oversized in my opinion and I'd guess that's to accommodate layering. For me that's a downside. I have a 42 chest and purchased a Large based on the sizing chart (41-44). The jacket I received will easily fit a 46-48 chest with room to breathe. The back also bells out. It's like it was made for people with big bellies. So I plan to move the buttons another inch or more to tighten the fit. It's also pricey for what it is. It's unlined and lacks interior pockets which I knew before purchasing it. Overall I like it, and give it 4-stars mainly because it's well made of quality wool and it is what it is. I prefer wool coats to down for the durability. I've had too many down jackets ripped apart by branches and briars. This will be my "go-to" work coat for colder weather.

Only complaint is that there aren’t more colorsAwesome jacket. I used to be a big fan of Filson until I found stormy kromer. Same made in the USA quality, a fraction of the price, and a much more flattering fit overall.
Runs very true to size. I am 6ft tall, 215lbs, 45 in chest, and XL fits me perfectly with room to layer.
The day I received this marks the day I will never get a wool coat from a different brand. Plus moose jaw ships quickly!

Classic wool coat for fall, not winter coatI've always wanted the Filson Double Makinaw coat for a winter coat, but price was always prohibitive. When I saw the Stormy Kromer on sale at Black Friday for nearly half the price of the Double Mac I decided to give it a try. Its a beautiful coat, but its not adequately warm for the current temps below 0*F (currently -10F). I'm sure it will be great in spring and fall or for more mild climates. But winter in ND needs something warmer. I originally purchase a medium due to all the reviews that said it runs big. I am a 52 year old man about 5'10 and around 163lbs. I found that the medium fits similar to a suit coat. The shoulders fit great and I had room in the chest for additional layers such as a vest. However, as soon as I lifted my arms the sleeves pulled up way to short and it pulled too tight under the arms to be comfortable. So Moosejaw was awesome and exchanged it for a large. The large may look a tad too big, but it is much more comfortable. I have much better range of motion and it just feels better. I think the Medium might look better due to the tighter fit, but the large provides better mobility. If you are going to be active and moving around go with the same size shirt you wear. If you want a coat that fits more like a suit jacket you can go down one size.

Hey Clara, good question! This here jacket is just your standard, unlined, 100% wool jacket. No insulation, but this jacket is very naturally warm and protective due to the wool's nature. I hope this helps!

My chest is 44 inches and waste is 34-36. Would you recommend a large or xl because of layering. Wearing a sweatshirt underneath.

Hey there Roddy, great question! Both of these coats are wonderful, warm, wool coats. The Stormy Kromer is a bit heavier, utilizing that 26 oz virgin wool, over Filson's 24 oz wool. That being said, both of these coats are made in the US with globally sourced materials. I hope this helps!

Hey grabs, thanks for the question! Sadly there is not any back storage pocket on this jacket, the only pockets are the two hand pockets you can see on the front. Additionally, this jacket is unlined. So sorry about that, but I hope this helps!

What temp is this jack good for?

Thank you for reaching out. This is 100 percent wool, and naturally very warm. Unfortunately, the item does not have a temperature rating that provides a specific range that this jacket excels in. Generally speaking, the warmth of this jacket will largely depend on the activities you plan on using it for. Given that you're moving around, this jacket is perfect for crisp temperatures, and windy days. If you are going to be wearing this while standing relatively still in cold temperatures, you may need to couple this with another layer. Hopefully this helps!
