The Merino wool regulates body temperature in any season, the slim fit helps wick sweat from the skin, and the nylon core provides enhanced durability. Not a heavy, warm base layer for cold weather, but will be a great shirt for hiking, camping or just hanging out. Odor resistant. Will be a staple for travel and play for me.

I transitioned to wool because all of the synthetic stuff I tried would never wick the moisture away from my body. I’ve transitioned to everything wool and won’t look back.

This was much lighter, however, and I feared I had ordered the wrong thing. My son gave it some thought and decided to keep it because the original 2 shirts were actually a little warm on certain days. So, he felt this shirt could be worn on those days and, coupled with its high quality, deserving of a place in his wardrobe

I'm currently using mine for cycling in the damp 50F of the PNW where their function when wet is key. I also run this weight when skiing under a windproof vest and goretex shell either in the Cascades or the San Juans. Plus, in black, they work the style for going out.

What are the wash/care instructions for this shirt?

Hey there, thanks for your question. The care instructions for this shirt are: Machine Wash Warm Gentle Cycle. Do Not Iron Decorations. Do Not Bleach Tumble Dry Low Cool Iron As Needed Do Not Dry Clean Wash With Like Colors I hope this helps!

Being made of wool, will these shrink at all when washed according to the product directions?

Hey there, thanks for your question. If you follow the wash instructions for the Smartwool Men's Classic All-Season Merino Base Layer Long Sleeve it shouldn't shrink. That being said, it is wool so too much heat will cause it to shrink, it dries fast enough that you can hang dry it incredibly easily. Personally, I think it's worth it to just avoid the dryer all together. I hope this helps!
