Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for "storage" but not as a carry duffle Well built and great to store items on a bike or car, but missing a few features to be carried by hand or opened often: 1) It does not have a exhaust valve. This is likely an advantage if it is strapped to your fender driving across Bolivia, as it is one less thing to break, but it is also an annoyance if you are simply using it as a carry duffel - each time you open it you have to carefully bleed the air out of it when rolling it else you end up carrying a giant balloon. I carry it on a sailboat and hate opening/closing it to grab something out of it. 2) it does not have good attachment points to sling it across your body or over a shoulder. It is designed to be carried by the handles (like a grocery bag) but it does not have a long longitudinal strap like many typical athletic duffel bags to sling over a shoulder (largely because of the design, where the secure points for the roll are at the ends.) I've created my own by attaching a long strap between two of the anchor points on diagonal sides of the bag, but it is not comfortable to sling over the shoulder because of where/how it attaches. Netnet: bomb-proof bag, very well built. Great for "strap it to your xxx and go to heck and back". Wide mouth is easy to get into and navigate the contents. However, not so good (design, not quality) for a gear container you will carry over a shoulder and open/close on a semi-frequent basis. Would I recommend it? Depends on the use you intend for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Water - PROOF As advertised, this bag offers waterproof protection. The wide mouth provides a great means of loading gear. Only drawback I encountered is that sealing the bag is a little awkward. There seemed to be a extra strap that dangled no matter how I fastened the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful I use this as a bow bag canoeing. I have taken it on multiple white water canoe trips and have well over 1000 miles of use from the Arctic to the Rio Grande and also in the Boundary Waters. For flying it is the right size for a carry on bag and I use it for that also. It's a little on the large size for a bow bag, but makes a nice foot rest in the canoe. No leaks in over 2 years of hard use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back of my Harley I have the black 40 litre model and it is far better than any motorcycle luggage made. I have put over 100,000 km on it overloaded and expect to get many more years out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They're in it for the Long Haul Pulling out the Seal Lines for yet another paddle trip and realized my duffles have clicked over 10 years with nary an issue. 10 years of bayou wanderings, weekend overnights, Saturday tubing floats, week long river excursions, and now our first trip to Boundary Waters. I even gave the 40L black duffle as groomsmen presents so my friends would have one less excuse to come outdoors with me! Love these bags, along with the rest of the products Cascade has to offer. Keep up the good work guys.

Does it come with a shoulder strap?

Asked by: Water
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, the Wide Mouth Duffel does not come with a shoulder strap. There are D-ring attachment points for you to add your own strap, tho. And for some reason SealLine does not offer a shoulder strap sold separately. I would actually take a look at the NRS High Roll Duffel Dry Bag. It is the same idea as the Wide Mouth: duffel-style, waterproof, and in the same price range. The only difference is that it comes with a shoulder strap. It does not show in the pics online, but the strap is included. I copied a link below for you to check it out. Hope this helps a little! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_NRS-High-Roll-Duffel-Dry-Bag_10340408_10208_10000001_-1_
