The SealLine Black Canyon Boundary Portage Pack is a waterproof pack for carrying gear through portages. Sometimes there is a little land between the water you're on and the water you want to be at. Throw your gear in this waterproof, roll-top and prevent any water from getting in, then throw it on your back when it's time to pick up your kayak or canoe and walk the earth a little bit. A cushy shoulder harness with a webbing belt makes life off the water easier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice dry bag/pack As advertised, perfect for portages when you need to keep your stuff dry. Not meant for canyoning but it will keep your stuff dry packrafting. Would not use as an all day pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We will always have these in our inventory The packs work great on the trampoline of our catamaran for any excursion requiring that we keep out kit dry. They are no-brainers in the canoes,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dryness - 5 stars functionality - 3 stars. I took this bag on a 24 day trip down the grand canyon. This bag got tossed around, laid in the sand, loaded and unloaded every single day and held up great. Everything on the inside was always dry for me. That includes a submersion after I flipped my raft that kept it completely underwater for about 45 minutes. My beef with the pack however is the straps on the outside. I really wanted to love this pack but soon become envious of my other group members that had the NRS Bills bag. First of all, the shoulder strap design is sort of obnoxious. If you don't have it fully strapped down your gonna be snagging webbing every which way. Normally, not a problem but when it is open and you need to move it across camp it was a real pain. On that note, it didn't have a functional haul loop or handle like the NRS bag. Finally, they advertise removable shoulder straps. In theory, sure, you can take them off but it is a huge hassle. Not something you would want to do with any frequency. Overall, they performed great but I was pretty annoyed with everything on the outside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One great, one bad I had bought a geen bag and a blue bag three year ago. Both served me well for a numbers of trip in wet habitat. However, though both were purchased at the same time, a blue bag got rip apart: all patches for straps and harness were detached. A green bag is still going strong and no sign of wears at all. Wonder why, really.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag; Better customer service I bought the 70L bag 8 years ago for use while crewing on a sailboat. As such, it had to be loaded with about 35 pounds of gear (squall gear, self-inflating PFD, etc.) It wasn't treated gently, but worked consistently great. So great I bought a second for my wife when she decided to join in the sailing fun. This year the pads connecting the straps to the original bag began to fail. Not knowing what glue was appropriate, I looked up info on the SealLine website and they recommended sending it in for repairs. A week later I received a brand new bag! No issues, no excuses. What a really awesome company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 years and going strong! I have had the green 35l for 5 years and it is still tough as nails. I honestly have no idea if it is completely waterproof any more but nothing is when you drag it through rough usage for years on end. I have traveled for months, commuted 14 miles a day on my bike for years, used it for outdoor work for 4 years, and just treated this bag like dirt and it still is awesome. Dope bag and i would highly recommend trying one for yourself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Canyon 35L a good product I've owned the 35L Black Canyon Portage Pack for about 5 years now and love it. A great product. It has been fishing in Alaska, Sailing in the Caribbean, on weekend getaways, and camping trips. It has taken a lot of abuse very well. Wish I could buy the 70L bag without the suspension system and inertchange the suspension system between the two bags. If this is possible! let me know.
