Stuff / Compression Sack Closure: Drawcord
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super light, slick stuff sacks I was seeking ultra-light and yet, durable stuff sacks, and it was between these and Outdoor Research's stuff sacks. Those may be just as good, but I could not tell if there was a handle-strap on the bottom of the sack, which helps significantly when removing the contents. I also liked the pull-tab on the top. My only gripe is that these are not as translucent as I would have liked, since that allows me to quickly see the contents. It forces me to come up with a way to label the bags for easy ID.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy these to replace manky old coated nylon bags So you didn't dust the insides of your old coated nylon stuff sacks with talcum powder after each trip because your didn't know to do it or you don't like that baby powder smell. Now they smell like a manky old boot. Not to worry ... Replace them with these. They are stronger, no smell and lighter. What a fantastic product!!! I wish they made replacement rain flies ... just keep dusting the inside of your tent and fly and avoid the manky boot syndrome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a bag, its waterproof, you put things in it Held this under running water and stuff inside didn't get wet. Looks like it would hold up pretty well under use, the material is thin but tough enough. The bag itself is incredibly light. For backpacking I'm not sure you would need anything larger than a medium(for clothes and whatnot, for a sleeping bag go with a compression sack). Likely a handful of smalls is all you need. Get different colors so that you can tell what is where when pulling everything out of your pack, and don't get black because you'll lose it at night.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic Storage I bought this product in all sizes for my backpacking trip. I used this extra small one for my toiletries. It did a great job of keeping moisture out and also was the perfect size.

I'm looking for a stuff sack for my ancient Alpine Designs down parka. Which size should I get? The old sack measures about 11" long and 22" around.

Asked by: CalgaryK
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I love answering questions about these fact, I used one a few weeks ago when I went trick-or-treating for Halloween. And, to answer your question: Yes, I dressed up as Anna from 'Frozen'. Anywhooo, for your parka, I'd suggest the XXL. I'm finding that the specs on that measure at 10.5 x 23". I'd say get this one, and as for your old sack...well........let it go. Hope this helps! Hugsies.

What size stuff sack would you recommend for a medium hooded down sweater?

Asked by: cerickson
Hey there cerickson, good question! That depends a lot on the pack-ability of the hooded down sweater in question. Knowing what I think I know about down sweaters though...I would say you should be good with the small or x-small, provided there's not much else accompanying the sweater. Hope this helps!
