DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

UL 10 Denier Nylon

UL 10 Denier Nylon
UL 10 Denier Nylon is an ultralight, downproof fabric. The nylon weave protects down from abrasion and elements, with an incredibly minimal weight. The thin fabric is extremely packable for less bulk in your pack. It is coated in a durable water repellent finish to repel water, especially from the sides of your tent.

Sea to Summit ULTRA-DRY Down

Sea to Summit ULTRA-DRY Down
ULTRA-DRY Down is a treated insulator for Sea to Summit sleeping bags. ULTRA-DRY treated down repels moisture, so when your environment is damp, your gear stands a much better chance. The down will retain its loft, dry faster and is even anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, improving their life span. When conditions are bad, your bag doesn't have to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy, UL Bought for backpacking, takes up very little space. works extremely well, easy to pack/unpack. The material is extremely thin, so I am scared of ripping it with the zipper, but it is also very well made so there's little chance of it happening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm, but light I bought this for backpacking/camping and I tested it for warmth and I was able to sleep with the bag unzipped because it was so warm. The bag stuff down so small, like the size of a loaf of bread. It takes a few minutes to squish the bag into it's compression sack, but no harder than packing away any sleeping bag. It’s also very light, so packing it in my backpack and carrying it is effortless. It comes with a storage sack so you can keep the loft fluffy when not in use. I got a bunch of condensation spilled onto the sleeping bag from the tent fly and all the water beaded up and I just had to shake the sleeping bag to get it dry again! I was worried because people were saying it’s a bit tight inside. I am 5‘3“ and about 107 lbs and it wasn’t tight at all, roomy even. I could move my legs and feet around without feeling restricted at all. If you’re a normal weight person for your height it should be just fine. It was a bit pricey, but I think it’s the best sleeping bag I’ve ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight to warmth ratio, very lightweight. I bought the Spark SP III in April 2016 and have used it 3 times so far, in varying conditions. I am the type who will generally opt to lug the extra weight of my big, overstuffed 0 degree winter bag all year round because I like to be 100% sure I'll be warm and comfortable no matter how the weather turns out. I decided I wanted to pick up this bag primarily for it's size and warmth to weight ratio and I have been extremely pleased. I took the bag out on a kayaking trip in Michigan when I first bought it (April) and when the temperatures got down in the mid 30's overnight I stayed plenty warm. The compression sack is a bit different than the one in the picture and it doesn't compress down quite as small as shown in the picture unless you REALLY want to wrench down on the compression sack. Practically speaking I it takes up only slightly more space than a standard water bottle. There is not an abundance of space inside the bag for me being 5'11" but not so tight as to constrict movement. The bag appears to be built with high quality and I trust Sea to Summit based on experience with other products by them. At this point I am rating it excellent based on the warmth, size and build quality. It performs exactly as described.
