Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.
Are you Sure?
Our Rewards Program is completely FREE and easy to use.
By opting out, you forfeit all the Moosejaw Rewards Dollars your currently have in your account, which is basically throwing away free money. What would your grandmother say about that? If you're 100% sure, please click "OptOut" below.

Solid workbootMy Forest Service ranger friends recommended the Wrangell. While trying them out around the house, my usual lacing techniques to limit heel slip didn't work. I wanted these boots for my forestry and trail work. Their stiffness should give great support for heavy loads and steep mountain trails. However, decided I couldn't afford to take the chance that they would work after broken in. I have another top brand stiff boot that ffailed the test.

Durable, comfortable, warm, and versatile!!!I recently purchased my 4th pair of Scarpa's Wrangell GTX. This is the absolute best boot I have ever worn. They wear like iron, taking anything that the trails or expedition style hiking throws at them. I am amazed at how comfortable they are, and in 2015 broke in a pair on a November elk hunt in Montana. I did not get any blisters and they kept my feet warm in the unusual cold snap that brought temperatures down to -20 F. I use them for ice climbing and my Grivel crampons clip securely and easily onto the heel and toe welts. They keep my feet dry in the sometimes wet, active faces of the waterfalls and cliff side springs with their reliable Gortex lining. I also use them for skiing and clip into my twin tips with skins and head out into the backcountry. I live and play in Alaska, and you have to believe in your gear completely as your life may just depend on it. Completely amazing boot!!!! I highly recommend them.

Tough as...Bought these boots a full year ago, they are absolutely bullet proof. A full year of hardcore off trail bush whacking field work, mostly Arizona (which eats boots) and the only issue is the soles are wearing and the heel seam is starting to come apart. By far the toughest boot I've ever owned for field work.

Excellent boot for surveyingI started wearing mountaineering boots in 1999, I started with Vasque Alpines. I next wore vasque Kodiaks, the best boot ever made in my opinion, unfortunately they were discontinued. I next wore La Spotiva Lhotse. They were a awesome boot I would still be wearing today if they weren’t discontinued. Tried Kennetrek Mountain Hunter(a joke) Bought my first pair Scarpa Wrangel GTX in April, 2014. Bought second pair in September, 2017. I am fixing to buy another pair as mine are getting slick. The only boot I would choose, other than Vasque Kodiaks, is the Scarpa Wrangel GTX.

Great for work scalingI bought my boots and they came in very quickly, especially for Hawaii. I do scaling off of 300-600 foot mountains and these boots are light on my feet but stiff so the bottom of my feet and ankles aren’t compromised. Hoping they’ll last long but would definitely buy another pair regardless.

Been a huge Scarpa fan. Own three different stylesI bought this pair of boots because my Fuegos get a little too hot in the summer and my Gtx are taking too big of a beating and not holding up. Never get blisters and my job has me hiking all a lot.

Best boots ever!I just purchased my second set of these boots. The only reason the first pair is out of commission is due to a dog chewing accident! I had the first pair for five years and they served me through everything, countless day hikes, backpacking trips, two weeks in Alaska, motorcycling, even wore them for work on a ranch. They're comfortable, break in easy, and last forever. You feet will stay warm in the winter and hot in the summer due to the Gore-Tex but that should be expected. You can't go wrong with these!
How are the shanks in these boots? I’m a lineman and spend a lot of hours on the pole. Wanting to make sure they’ll hold up in those weight bearing conditions.

I wear the Fuego’s which are almost the same and just purchased a pair of these. The fuegos are the best boot I have used for climbing. They are very stiff whatever shank they use is more than enough.

My instep is high, medium with, do this boots, can fit on me.
I'll appreciate your response. Manuel.
Asked by: Maraver
Hi Maraver, thanks for the question! These are medium width boots but they are not specifically made for a high arch or instep. From Scarpa, this midsole is used in fully stiffened boots, with sustained front pointing in mind, this heavy duty nylon midsole is further supported with an integral shank for maximum underfoot support. If the fit or boot isn't right for you, send it back our way for a full refund, we don't charge return shipping on footwear. I hope this helps!

Are these good winter boots? Are they warm?
Asked by: BillB
Hey Bill,
These boots are not constructed with any additional insulation for warmth, but thanks to their durable construction and waterproof exterior they would work for colder weather conditions when worn with warm socks. For extreme cold weather I would recommend a boot that contains an insulation, such as PrimaLoft or Thinsulate.
