Rated 4 out of 5 by from didn't ft me, but seem good I can't comment on the performance, because they did not fit me correctly, but I can give some info on the fit. The 21.5 and 22 are the same shell size, and this was the correct length for my foot (size 5.5). However, it was too narrow in the forefoot and around the ankle bones, based on the shell fit that I did with my foot-bed. The F1 had a great range of motion, and I could stand and stride fairly naturally. The plastic tongue is completely attached at the bottom and along the inside edge, which makes it hard to get them on and off as you don't have a lot of space to "lift" the tongue away. Sometimes when I was trying them on I had to work hard with my fingers to get the liner edge, shell edge, and tongue to layer together in the correct order. The tongue wants to slip under the liner edge. The BOA loosens enough that it is not the cause of any difficulty. The liner came up to a nice height above the shell and felt like it offered some additional support. It also has a soft area of different foam in the back that adds to the rear-ward mobility. For reference, I also tried the Backland and TLT7 in 22.5 (which are the same weight-class). The TLT7 is much higher volume and was too small in my calf. The Backland was wider in the ankle/forefoot and higher volume. I had the impression that the F1 would feel more supportive than the Backland when skiing. It seemed like a great boot, but too much of the shell was wrong for my foot. It seems like a great option if you are looking for a touring optimized boot, and especially if you have tiny feet!
