Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Mountaineering boot I purchased these for my upcoming trip of Tour Du Mont Blanc in Europe. I am still breaking them in but I can already tell these shoes should last a while. They are light and the versatility is great. I can't wait to wear them on the trail for 10 days straight over 110 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome boot! I purchased these boots about a month ago, and I cant be more than happy with my decision. I’m an arborist and the grip and stability I get from these are top “notch,” pun intended. I work 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week and my feet have never felt better in another boot (comparing to the Salewa GTX Moutain Trainers Mid boot) they’re light, extremely easy to put on and take off. Highly recommend. When it comes to waterproof they’re excellent. Awesome all around boot, and of course they look cool as well. The sizing is accurate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great approach boot, best for semi-wide feet These are one of the best approach - technical day boots I've had for some time. Bought these as I was looking for a lightweight but yet functional boot for warmer days out. The fit I have borderline D - E wide feet with smallish heel and these boots fit and wraps perfectly. The simple climbing shoe lacing configuration makes fit adjustments easy though needs some getting used to for those accustomed to the usual d-rings. Toe box has enough room to wiggle my toes though I recommend a 1/2 size up if you are going to wear thick socks - these fit closer that the average hike boot. I didn't experience any heel slips so far in my 40 + miles with them . The experience These boots needed very little time breaking in and I took them straight for a 3hr or so moderate hike on day 1. The grip is sure when crossing creeks and ankle level streams. The leather repels water and splashes as expected and kept my feet dry. Note that these do run a bit warm on the longer hikes, being fully Goretex lined. Cooler socks suggested if you have toasty feet like me. Cushioning aren't as much as what you get say from a pair of Solomons or Lowas, but what you get in return is a very stable, light, sure footed platform. These boots have no issues on loose rocks and scree, though I wished Scarpa would put a full rubber rand in their next iteration. Pros - Great fit (if you have wide forefoot, skinny heel) - Lightweight for a boot that you can wear above the bushline, mid-alpine-ish - Grips very well on scree, riverbeds, loose rocks - Stable platform Cons - Climbing shoe lacing system might not be everyone's taste/fit - Rubber rand could be full length to protect the sides (leather scuffs easilly) - Runs a bit warm Other boots I have tried and compared with - Asolo Stynger -Asolo TPS 535 - Scarpa Kailash GTX - Solomon 4D - Lowa Tibet -Lowa Renegade GTX

What is the weight for a specific size so I can get an idea what the weight would be for my size?

Asked by: RWGebs
Following up on this. I weighed Size 43, 44 and 45 WEIGHT IS FOR ONE BOOT: 43 weighed: 1.30 pounds 44 weighed: 1.35 pounds 45 weighed: 1.40 pounds It would seem the boot goes up less than an ounce per whole size (.8 oz). So, knowing that you can definitely figure out the weight of the boot you want by taking the base weight of say, size 45 and either adding or subtracting .5 to the base weight of 1.40 x amount of times until you reach your size. For example, size 50 would be 1.65 pounds (or 26.4 ounces). Hope that helps!
