Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreal boots Scarpa did a great job with these base model boots. They are warm and have a rigid slide. Perfect for clip crampons. Highly recommend if you aren’t interested in spending a fortune on boots. Moosejaw - easy and pleasant to deal with as always!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great boots! I bought these boots 2 months ago, and they are the best purchase I have made in years. These boots are bulletproof! The fit is right on the money, great support, amazing traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stiff and warm boot! In the winter in the mountains there is one place that won't lie to you how it feels: your feet. This boot has everything you want in a mountaineering boot: Leather, Goretex, Wraparound rand, built in gaiter and auto crampon compatible. ,,,,With a boot this burly you would imagine a 6 month to a year long break in. I took them on an 8 hour trip on our first adventure together. Not a blister. As for sizing, I always size up in Scarpa, whether it is trail runners or boots. I am 43 in Lowa, 43 in Ecco and 45 in Scarpa. The 45 fits me like a glove. You would think these high stiff boots would be uncomfortable, nope they are not the slightest bit uncomfortable. Wide toe boxes and no heel slop. They have a very rigid sole, but you want that kicking steps.,,,,I really, truly, absolutely love these boots. They are great for hiking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, etc. The fit is spot on for me, the warmth and water resistance is also top notch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boots in a big size I really don't understand why no company makes big mountaineering boots. I have very big, wide feet and while I wish these were about two sizes bigger, they are the best fitting boots I've come across. Very well constructed and while I've already given them a fair bit of abuse, I expect them to last quite a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy boot, durable, for wider feet. I love the boot. Soon comfy. Great for those with wide feet. Unfortunately I bought it too big. I'm a 42.5 in runners or boots with a thin sock. I thought a 44 would be good with my two layer sock system I like. It's still a bit big. I'd do a 43 or 43.5 next time. I've tried different insoles to no avail it just raises the footbed but when front pointing the boot still moves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Warm, Excellent fit & toes stay VERY WARM! So after reading many reviews and finally deciding on the Scarpa Mont Blanc's i scooped up a pair. Was extremely weary of purchasing boots w/ out being able to try them on and they FIT GREAT! I'm a typical 9.5 / 10 US, I have a rather wide foot and typically have a heavy wool sock on for winter climbs the extra half size was perfect. They run in EU sizes and a 43 fit me perfect. I've stomped around locally on some snowshoes 3-4 mile stomps in below freezing temps w/ just a smart wool liner on and my feet stay extremely warm, theirs nothing better than warm toes miles and miles away from home! VERY HAPPY

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good fit I bought this boot some days ago and the fit was very good, I usually wear size 10 us in normal shoes and ordered the 44, I used liners and heavy wool mountaineering socks and was very comfortable, I have not tested them in the mountain but it seems to work good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good boots but definitely know what your doing These boots worked well, I ended up having tot go a full size down on these boots, only a half size bigger than my climbing shoe. This could just be how my foot works, but nonetheless they are a quality boot that are the exact same as the nepal evos are, as far as quality is concerned. The Scarpa's have a much bigger foot and toe box, so keep that in mind when sizing.

you think you use this boot for hiking in spring, summer or fall and be able to do many miles over an extended period of time? thank you very much

Asked by: Mauricio
Hey there, This boot excels in harsh environments - think mountaineering up big mountains and ice climbing. If you're hiking/walking many miles, this wouldn't necessarily be the best boot for you. However, if your aim is to climb high, look no further as these are durable, warm, and have great traction. I hope this helps!

How much insulation is in these boots and what type is it?

Asked by: michael
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! I like to imagine that somewhere in this great country of ours, there's some city called 'Sulation'. And I want to go there, cross the city limits, just so I can say 'I'm in Sulation'. (Receives award for greatest joke ever on Moosejaw website) Thank you, thank you all....anywhooo....I dug deep and got some GREAT deets! So, while the upper is 3mm Suede Peranger Hs12, the lining is going to be 5 grams of Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort! Hope this helps you out. Hugsies.
