Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.
Product Returns and MJ$:
If you return an item, we deduct the MJ$ earned on that item from your balance. If you used the MJ$ and your balance is less than deduction, then your refund is reduced by the difference.
Program Abuse:
The intent of the program is to provide our loyal customers with a way to buy great gear for less. Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Scarpa Kinesis Great BootHave been buying this boot for the past 4 years. Nothing but great things….! True to size and comfortable. I use this boot as a work boot and wear this these boots everyday putting in 60-80 hrs. A week on avg. These boots have never disappointed, no break downs or blow outs. Made extremely well. These things are put through vigorous wear. Never had this boot breakdown on me! Wear in various environments and terrain. Also, wear in water sometimes submerged for hrs., no leaks or wet feet in ankle deep water. Go through a pair boots boots a year! Highly recommend

Rugged ,comfortable and sure footedThis is my 4th pair of these work boots over the past few years. They are so supportive of my ankles when I’m on steep terrain , water proof just like advertised, unbelievable sure footed and just very comfortable to wear all day. And they are true to size

Finest mountain boot aroundThis review is based on my limited ownership of this boot which I have had for about a month now. Out of the box it was a very good stiff shank and the laces are absolutely awesome though just a bit thin. The quality of this boot is unparalleled to anything else I've ever owned, and I have owned North face, Vasquez, keen, and many others. I highly endorse these scarpa boots, you will not regret it.

Beautiful and tough bootsI bought a pair of kenises this January they will be 2 year's old they have at LEAST 1500 hundred on them they are still good enough to wear but the sole have serious wear on them I will be getting a new pair when I can get the money tough and nice looking boot!!!

GTX hiking bootsGreat feel at the heal, a bit narrow toe box but after some break in it looses in a bit. Boot seems sturdy, the only drawback I see so far is the ankle support is not as sturdy as I would have liked for a GTX boot. My previous pair were Sherpa GV Asolo and had very strong ankle support. The laces are a bit cheap with the first hike they have got a "pull" in the fabric but they are easily replaced.
I will replace the laces and possibly get a loner set to allow for a single loop around the ankle for additional ankle support. I think these will ultimately be a great pair of boots as Scarpa always has a great product. Best feature is they are very light weight.

Quality BootI bought these boots a couple of weeks ago after some extensive research, and wanting to hark back to the days of traditional leather boots that would last me many miles and years of walking instead of the lighter tennis shoe type builds that tend to be prevalent today and tend to fail after a season or two.
The ordering process was painless and the boots arrived on time. I was not disappointed in their quality and construction - they are beautifully made.
Two immediate points of note: they are heavy as expected; the soles are very stiff and initially did not bend at all, requiring an adjustment to my gait.
After wearing them around the house the first week and then on some short hikes the second week, the leather began to soften up and the soles started to flex with my foot.
The break in period is therefore relatively minimal and they are pretty much comfortable right out of the box.
After a seven mile hike the support from these boots was amazing and I had zero leg muscle fatigue compared to my companions who were all groaning about early season muscle stiffness the next day - this is where the weight and construction of these boots is hopefully going to pay off - they protect the soles of your feet and it feels like they hold you up - providing excellent traction and stability.
I am looking forward to putting them through their paces on some steeper terrain and with heavier loads later this season and will likely upgrade my rating to 5 stars, but it is too soon to say definitively with so few miles on them so far.
If you are looking for something with traditional craftsmanship and quality that will probably last a decade or more, these are definitely worth considering. They are serious boots though and probably not a great choice if you don't plan to pack some serious weight - for day hikes I still tend to revert back to my lighter boots.

Solid bootWear these for work in construction, and they take a lot of abuse. They hold up strong and comfortable. Only need 2 pair every 18 months. I like them
Would this boot be a comparable replacement to the Scarpa Zanskar GTX? It doesn't look like Scarpa is restocking that boot in the size I would need, so I'm trying to find the closest thing.

Hey there agbee, good question! The Kinesis Pro is actually gonna be a nice little improvement from the Zanskar. The Kinesis includes a complete rand, rather than just on the toe box of the Zanskar; it also provides more complete ankle support and waterproof upper. The Kinesis should be a great replacement and upgrade from the Zanskar for you! I hope this helps!

I'm not worried about overall stiffness but the soles stiffness. I'm a ski lift mechanic and I'm curious if the vibram soles on these are rigged enough to support my weight on just the tip toes without flexing.

The soles on these are very stiff but have a surprising amount of grip. Personally I think you could use these shoes to support your weight on your tiptoes, but I can't say for sure. If you get them and try them out in your house to see if they work as you want and they don't end up suiting your needs, you're more than welcome to send them back for a refund. Would the sizing be comparable to Crispi Kanads?

Hey there!
We have never carried Crispi boots, so we haven't had any feedback about those. I can tell you what with the Kinesis the biggest gripe is how heavy they are. Looking at the specs between the two, the Kinesis are definitely heavier than the Kanada. Also, the Kinesis require a break in period. The Kinesis run standard width, if that helps any. They definitely have a superior ankle support. I just cannot tell you from personal or from our own experience about the Crispi fit.

Comparing the Scarpa Kinesis Pro GTX and the Garmont Tower Trek GTX. Any thoughts? Uses will include backpacking, hiking, snowshoeing, fall, winter and spring.

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out in regard to these boots! After taking a look, the Garmont Men's Tower Trek GTX Boot unfortunately does not have Thinsulate or Primaloft insulation technology inside them. This may cause issues if you're hiking long distances in very cold temperatures, however I would still feel comfortable hiking in these boots in temperatures as low as mid 30's. With this being said, I would lean more toward the Scarpa Kinesis Pro GTX because of what you'll be using them for. I hope this helps!

Hey,
These boots are designed to be good to go right out of the box and do not need any treatment initially, however to prolong the life of the boot it is recommended that you regularly treat them with a suitable waterproofing treatment, such as Nikwax Nubuck and Suede on the uppers.
