Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.

"Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).

On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Failure at less than 45 km on the bootsLight and nice. A split formed in the front of the rubber protection band of the boot rendering them no longer water proof and they take on debrise

Salomon OutpulseSalomon is a top shelf manufacturer, and these shoes exceeded my expectations. Fit, finish and comfort of these shoes are brilliant. Combine that with the communication and turn around time from Moosejaw and there is no better.
AAA+ 100% satisfaction!

Comfortable, light, great grip - but quality issueI bought these to replace a different pair of Salomon shoes - where a seem on the heel tore the second time I wore them, just walking around town. I decided to try these instead, and when they first arrived I loved them - great fit, awesome on the trail, just enough support - loved them.
But then, after only two relatively easy hikes -- totalling only 12km -- I was shocked to see the toe-box coming apart. Even more disappointing considering these were already a replacement for a previously faulty pair from Salomon. I don't know what's changed... but I have had at least half a dozen pairs of Salomon shoes over the last 15 years - putting thousands of kms of hard trail hiking/running miles on them - and I've never had them let me down like this. I really hope this was just bad luck and I got a couple of duds in a row...

Very very goodI've come to these from a 5 pair run of X Ultra 3 mids, wide fit. I loved those boots. Averaging 500-650 sport hike miles per year over the various terrains and all weathers of the Western Pennines and West Yorkshire, UK. I'm not yet many miles into my first pair of OutPulse mids, but I'm very impressed so far. Grip, mud shedding, and temperature control is on par with the X Ultra 3's (very very good). The wear rate of the tread appears on par with the Ultra 3's (very good). The cushioning of the sole is wonderful. It's not running shoe soft, but is a good improvement in comfort over the Ultra 3's, which I already found excellent. There's a little welcome pop of rebound with every step, particularly from the heel area as you roll onto the ball of your foot. The sole is cushioned/protective enough to prevent jagged/pointed rocks, cobbles and stones from digging into the sole of your foot. It's a very comfortable ride.
Regarding the width of the toe box, it seems a little wider than the regular Ultra 3's, and marginally narrower than the Ultra 3 wide fits. I've fallen lucky as they're just where I'd want them in terms of width by the time my feet have swollen during a hike. I'm a size 11UK and Ultra 3 mid wide fits weighed 506g per boot. The OutPulse in a size 11UK weigh 443g per boot.
Minor annoyances, the laces are a little too long, so without a hodge-podge of knots, run the risk of catching the hook of the opposite boot. Also, being a flat profile lace and flat profile loops, making the fit snug towards the toe end is awkward and difficult to achieve. Entry and egress is quite a squeeze too, again because the flat profile laces don't slide when you try to widen the tongue aperture.
Hopefully they're durable and last as well as the Ultra 3's. I was averaging between 650 and 750 miles per pair with those. These are made with a completely different construction, and materials I'm not familiar with. I'll stay hopeful they'll do the mileage and certainly have no cause for concern this far. Mine are the blue, orange and tan colourway.

Great ShoeGreat Shoe / Comfort/ Support…Light Weight..Can wear all day in working environment on concrete/ hardwood or linoleum flooring without feeling fatigued at the end of the day…Only negative issue…The shoelaces do not have a built in area like some of their other shoes where you can tuck them in securely…This can cause issues with the shoelaces being so long . In more rugged terrain they may come untied causing other issues…Find a workaround for this problem and you have a 5 Star rating….Pvis

Exactly what had been looking forI had been looking for a pair of lightweight, well made, comfortable, trail/hike hybrid (good looking) boots for ages. Have tried on a lot of different styles from various manufacturers, including Salomon - these fit the bill. These are exactly what I have been looking for - you can see how well made they are, and they are incredibly comfortable - they have the soft feel of trainers, but the support of light hikers. I had a much harder time finding a good pair of lightweight light trail boots, than I did finding a boot that meets more demanding trails. I have a feeling I would be happy wearing these on all but the toughest trails though - my feet don't fatigue in the Outpulse Mids. I tried the Predict hike mid, but they didn't work for me, for a variety of reasons - including how hot they got inside the boot. I was expecting these to be a bit too hot inside the boot too due to the similar GTX liner, but they are absolutely fine.
The only minor, monr negative is that they are a bit of a squeeze to put them on, but when they are on, the UK 8.5 fit my UK 8 1/4 feet perfectly. Awesome - very pleased!
BTW, Salomon customer services are excellent - keep up the great work!

Best all around shoe!I’ve had this shoe a little over 2 months and it’s the third pair I’ve owned. It doubles as work and hiking shoe. I work in the new construction plumbing field and do a lot of work in dirt, rock, mud, etc. I average around 8 miles a day at work and this shoe is a life saver! It is very comfortable and light weight making it easier to move around. Also a plus that is water proof and the traction is also great in the wet conditions. Salomon should definitely advertise into the construction field for those who don’t like to wear heavy boots all day! They could really find a new group of customers. I’ve already turned 3 co workers on to Salomon shoes now and they love them!

Great shoe, awful colorThe is the first Solomon shoe that hasn’t had too narrow of a toe box. It’s even got extra support around the toe box for foot splay under load. Super lightweight. I had wanted the Forces Mid but it was either heel slip or too narrow at the toes. These fit amazing. My only gripe is with how awful they look. I would have returned had I not covered them in mud the same day I bought them. I picked up some olive and grey dye hoping to figure something out. Looks like I’m wearing Jordans on the trail. Kinda silly. Darker colors and a non-GTX version please.
