Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm Our 11/12 yr old pug suffers from Pug Myelopathy and is slowly losing the use of her back legs. The Ruffwear Web Master Harness allows us to help her up steps and basically, help her stand up with the handle near the rear of the harness. It has come in very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ESCAPE PROOF We’ve had a precious little rescued terrier mix for almost 3 years. We love her to death but she has managed to back out of every collar or harness we’ve tried. To top that, she’s very nosy & can run like a deer when she’s loose. I guess my heart is pretty good because she darts away, no regard for cars!!! When I took her out for the first time in the Ruffweb Master Harness, she was good as gold until I was ready to go back inside & she had a scent she was interested in & wanted to head across the street. She crouched down & began to back up. The look on her face was priceless! She couldn’t believe she couldn’t get away! Thank You So Much! This harness may well have saved her sweet life!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Silly on a Long Little Doggie Needed a harness that had the second strap so I picked this one out since my previous harness was a smaller Ruffwear one. Fits my corgi well. I would say that tightening the straps takes getting used to, but it's not that hard. The handle is great for picking up the pup whenever he can't jump on something or he's being a punk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Houdini proof and comfortable! My dog was the master of slipping out of his harness, but no longer! He's comfortable in it for long periods and it doesn't seem to rub badly at all. Great handle for excitable pups.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made harness that is easy to use. Got this harness recently to walk a large dog who can very easily get out of a collar and occasionally needs help up steep/slick staircases. Works on both counts; he can't pull out of the harness, and the handle makes it easy for a steady hand to provide support/stability without dragging or carrying the dog. It goes on easy. Only complaint - it's been a little tricky to adjust for comfort on a weirdly proportioned dog (greyhound) who's clearly not into the idea of a harness. Your mileage may vary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for my escape artist The ONLY thing that works for my Borkie. He escaped or choked himself with every other one I tried. After buying 5 different ones I got the best with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my dog who backs out of every Harness Bought Two of these to have for upcoming hiking and camping trips. I have a Boston Terrier who can back out of every harness. This Harness is Awesome! She can't back out of this one and I love that it has a handle on it to help lift her if she needs assistance. Also fit my Pit bull Mix Perfect! Very durable looking!

My Rat Terrier has a 21” girth. He is full grown. Should I purchase the small web master? His x-small front range from Moosejaw is expanded to the max. Based on the reviews, I’m interested in purchasing the web master to keep him from backing out.

Asked by: Kathy
Hi Kathy, good question! The web master should be harder from him to back out of due to the strap design. I would recommend giving the x-small webmaster a try, you don't want it to make it any easier for him to back out of by buying a bigger size. If you decide you do in fact need a different size, we can do a super simple return and exchange for you! I hope this helps! https://www.moosejaw.com/content/returns

My one puggle is very round LOL and backs out of every harness  I've ever gotten I've spent so much money is this good for a dog that can pull out of harnesses by backing up

Asked by: Deby0316
Hey there! Well, now you do know we want to see this rotund lil creature of yours!! Please send us an email or instagram shot of your round doggo!! That being said, Ruffwear says specifically this: "A supportive, multi-use dog harness built for maneuvering and assisting dogs up and over obstacles as well as working dogs. Helps prevent dogs from backing out or escaping from the harness" Of course, your determined dog might just be the beast that proves them wrong, but given that this is a 5 point harness, even Houdini might struggle to get out of it. If for some reason the puggle DOES escape, contact us and we'll help you with a free return. If yoru baby DOESN'T you need to give a great review AND pictures. Well, pictures need to happen either way.

I have a 12 1/2 yr old Airedale female who is now experiencing neuro-muscular issues w/her back legs. How do I measure her for the Ruffwear Web Master Harness? She will have to wear it all the time except at night.

Asked by: Candy
Hey there, Candy! We know you want to get your Airedale into the right harness so she'll be comfortable, so here is some information from Ruffwear to help you measure your dog for the proper fit: Length - Refers to the length of the coat from the center back neck to the center of your pup's lower back. Neck - The neck refers to the neck opening circumference. Dog's Girth - To measure girth, measure around the widest part of Fido's rib cage. I hope this helps! Where is the second leash attachment point? I see the aluminum one. Is the second one on the chest or behind the handle?

Asked by: Mike
Hey Mike, thanks for asking. The second leash attachment point is the loop of webbing that is located on the top of the harness behind the handle. Ruffwear mentioned that most users prefer the aluminum leash attachment point, but that some need either a second attachment point or prefer to have it behind the handle for either personal reasons or to aid their cute li'l doggies with mobility problems. I hope this helps and please pet your dog for me.

I have a Whippet-Basrenji tripawd missing a front leg (including scapula). Other harnesses rotate on the torso so the leash pulls from the right (amputee side) and this is uncomfortable. Will this harness be more likely to remain in position in the body?

Asked by: Pattysaurus
Hey, Pattysaurus! Great question, and we think you'll love the answer. We reached out to our friends at Ruffwear, who said that this would be a great harness for your tripawd, as it is widely used by three-legged dogs. This harness has an extra strap at the waist that helps hold it into place. And, while all five of the straps on this harness are adjustable, three of the straps are located around the chest area, so you'll really be able to make sure the harness remains in position without pulling and causing discomfort. I hope this helps!

I am bit confused with the size guide. On harnesses that say 22-27 inches, is that the girth and would that be the only measurement that i would have to be concerned with. Abby measures 25 around the rib cage.Thank you

Asked by: CAROLE319
Hey Carole! Great question! I know some harnesses require you to measure the girth and the neck size, but that is not necessary for the Web Master! The girth is all you need. If you can, watch this YouTube video: https://bit.ly/2Ldjc9v Make sure you are measuring as instructed and you can then ensure you are getting the right harness! If she is 25 even after watching the instructional video, Abby would fit in a small harness!

Hi, I have a yorkie puppy that is about 4 lbs and want him in the best harness possible. I lost my last dog to slipping out of the harness and getting hit by a car. Is this harness ok for little dogs? I really see more large dogs in this.

Asked by: yorkie owner
Hey there! Your wee one will have a hard time escaping the Web Master. I think it succeeds where the Front Range fails. The Web Master has separated body harness loops and when those are independent of each other, a wiggly beast cannot pop out of it in one fell swoop. Just ensure you get an accurate measurement of your Yorkie's girth. I imagine he is somewhere between XXS and XS. I have a Web Master for one of my cats and there isn't anything better at contortion than cats - she has yet to get that off of her.

We have a 1 1/2 year old husky and when walking him he just loves to pull and I know that this is their nature but will this help to control that we have tried other harnesses with no luck.  Thanks for your help

Asked by: Krazyk
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! First off, thank you for recognizing that it's the dog's nature for wanting to pull! Secondly....I'm the same way. Whenever anyone gets a harness on me....but I digress. Anywhooo, while this is a flat-out great harness, it will not curb your husky's desire to pull. It's actually designed to help assist your dog over obstacles, hence the grab handle on the top and the top ring that's leash ready! Hope this helps you out. Hugsies.
