Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Harness!! This harness is amazing, sure it’s a little bit more expensive than others but well worth it! I have a very rugged mini bull terrier and this harness does the job. I love the little features about it like where you can write their name and how it doesn’t rub them raw. The durability is incredible and she seems to be very comfortable in it! I would highly recommend this harness to anyone!!

Have never been able to get puppy to NOT pull so decided to get this harness and we already have some Ruffwear stuff for her already and they are Grade A quality products....... so got this and she does not try to eat it while we put it on or when she has it on........ she still pulls but it does not choke her out and she knows its walk time when we pick it up and she loves to put it on.............

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits great on a hard to fit dog. I have an odd sized dachshund (his chest is very large) and have had a difficult time finding a harness that doesn't chaff and cause a rash. The Front Range harness is adjustable in so many ways. He now has a great fitting harness and is a happy boy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ruffwear Front range Harness This is a quality harness. I use this for my dogs when we travel by car and when I need to keep my dogs retrained when we are on picnics. Soo glad I bought them. The leather harness my dog had-well she tore through it trying to get a kitty. There is no way this will happen with this harness. I love that its secure and padded , no injury to my pups if we were ever in an accident.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great harness for active dog! I bought this harness for our 1 year old 28 lb mix breed. We love the ease of putting it on him and it really has helped with his pulling issues.

I have a scooty mix that just had right front leg amputated ...will this harness work on her without sliding around her body or slip off over er head

Asked by: emily
Thanks for the question! I wasn't sure the size of your Scooty, but if she has a girth size under 22″ then the Front Range is perfect! It doesn't have a top handle like the Webmaster Harness, but it may be helpful with a leash attached on top. For smaller/shorter dogs with a front amp that need a little support at the front end to walk, pulling the leash up may decrease the weight on the only front leg. Her body build and amount of fur will determine how much sliding will happen. Naturally, the harness will slide towards her right side, but should stay in place for the most part. Also, one tip I have heard form other customer's is to unbuckle on the amputated (right) side and slide the harness over her head. Another option to consider is the Webmaster Harness. It is the most popular and is ideal for both front & rear leg canine amputees of all sizes and shapes. It provides a moderate amount of assistance - especially post-amputation for dogs who require occasional lifting, are active and ambulatory. I included a link below. Hopefully, Ruffwear will design a harness in the future specifically for our 3-legged friends. I hope this infomation helps! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Ruffwear-Web-Master-Harness_10349185_10208_10000001_-1_

What size harness do mist 50 pound english bulldogs wear?

Asked by: Bulldog
Hiya, thanks for your question! The sizing depends on the girth of the dog, not the weight. To get the girth, measure around the widest part of the rib cage. Most English Bulldogs would wear a size Large/XL, which fits a 32 to 42 inch girth. Hope this helps!

I want to buy the front range harness for my pitbull whose girth is 25" standing, 26" laying down. Her neck size is 16-17 inches. Your sizing guide specifies girth only. Should I buy the small harness ??? Would this fit her neck ?

Asked by: Lemon
Hiya Lemon, thanks for your question! I'm sorry we don't have more sizing information. If your dog is between sizes, I would suggest you go up to a size medium. Hope this helps!

My Nikita is a contortionist. She can manoover herself in such a way that she can chew the harness straps on her chest just below her neck. Is there a harness she can not chew through?

Asked by: Ribcrickett
Hi Ribcrickett, good question! If the harness is the correct size for your Nikita and is adjusted properly, she should not really be able to chew the chest strap...unless of course, she is made completely of rubber. I'd suggest seeing if you need to make some adjustments to the way the harness sits on her or maybe try a smaller size that she can't wiggle around in so much. I found another harness by Ruffwear that looks like it sits a little differently, if you want to check it out I'll throw a link in for you. Hope this helps! https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Ruffwear-Web-Master-Harness_10349185_10208_10000001_-1_

Hi! I need to order a harness for my German Shepherd who is at least 110lbs and I dont think a L/Xl big enough, do you carry sizes for xl dogs like him?

Asked by: szsz
HIya szsz, thanks for your question! The harness size is based on the dog's girth, not weight. The girth measurement is taken around the widest part of the rib cage. The girth measurement for Large/XL is 32 - 42 inches. If you dog is larger that than, you'll need to try a different brand. That is the largest size Ruffwear makes. Sorry about that!

I have a 70lb German Shepherd that pulls when I take her to the vet. Would this be a good purchase to “maintain control” of her when we take trips to the vet? Also would I be able to use this as a harness to buckle her in the car?

Asked by: BailieT7
Hey there Bailie77, Great question! While the Front Range harness is an awesome harness, I personally prefer a harness with a handle on top so I can have a little more control over my overly-enthusiastic K9 friends. For this, I would suggest the Web Master harness: https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Ruffwear-Web-Master-Harness_10349185_10208_10000001_-1_ As far as using this harness as part of a seat belt restraint system, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the Front Range for this purpose, because it isn't specifically designed and rated to do so. Ruffwear makes a harness specifically for use with a car seatbelt, called the Load Up harness: https://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/shop/product_Ruffwear-Load-Up-Harness_10284299_10208_10000001_-1_ It is designed with a handy loop to be used in conjunction with a car seatbelt, and it is also safety rated and tested. Hope this helps!

BOOT MEASUREMENT GUIDE

• Below is a super easy way to find the correct boot size for your pup.

1. Make sure your pup is standing on a firm surface.

2. Instead of fighting with measuring tape, grab a pencil and place a piece of paper under one of your dog's front paws.

3. Then, lift your dog's opposite paw so that its weight is placed firmly onto the front paw being measured.

4. Take your pencil and mark both sides of the weighted paw at its widest point on the piece of paper.

5. Kiss Fido on the head for being so great, and let him (or her) go play. From there, grab your measuring tape and measure the distance between the two points. Check which boot size would fit above, and you're all set. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

RUFFWEAR MEASUREMENT GUIDE

• The fit info listed below is meant to help find the correct fit, especially if your pup has a unique size or shape.
