Rewards Program Terms and Conditions
Last updated January 1st, 2020
Opting-in to Moosejaw Rewards:
All users must accept these terms and conditions and create an account with Moosejaw to opt-in to the program and earn, accrue, retain and redeem Moosejaw Reward Dollars (MJ$). The program is FREE to join and membership is ongoing until or unless the user requests to be removed or is removed due to abuse of the program. Users can opt-in to the program while checking out on Moosejaw.com or at one of our stores or at any time within 30 days of purchase to accrue the MJ$ earned on that purchase. Once opted-in to the program, MJ$ will earn and accrue for redemption as described below until the MJ$ expire or the user leaves the program.
All information collected and used to facilitate the Moosejaw Rewards program is directly related to the program's ability to provide value to the customer. A customer opting-in to the Moosejaw Rewards program is a separate action from establishing a user profile as a result of making a purchase.
The program opt-in requirement was added on August 6th, 2019. Existing program members prior to that date must still formally opt-in and accept the terms and conditions to continue to retain, earn and redeem MJ$. Pre-existing program members that fail to opt-in prior to June 28, 2020 will be removed from the program, and any unused MJ$ will be voided. We really, really don't want to that to happen, so please opt-in or we'll feel terrible.
Leaving Moosejaw Rewards Program:
You may choose to leave the Moosejaw Rewards program at any time by logging in and clicking on the “Opt out Rewards Program” link within the My Account Summary page, Email, calling 877-MOOSEJAW (877-666-7352) or in-store with help from our employees. If you leave the rewards program, any unused MJ$ will be voided upon completion of your request.
Earning MJ$:
All items we sell are eligible with the exception of gift cards or other items specifically noted. Full-priced items earn 10% back while discounted items earn 2.5%. "Discounted items" includes items on sale or discounted via coupon code or use of MJ$. You do not earn MJ$ for shipping or tax charges, only from the item value. MJ$ expire two years after earning and are redeemed on a first-in, first out basis (in other words, we always use your oldest MJ$ that are closest to expiration).
Checking & Redeeming MJ$:
On Moosejaw.com, just sign-in on any page to see your available balance. Once signed in, you will see your available MJ$ and maximum that can be redeemed in the payment section of the checkout process. In stores, provide the email address attached to your account to learn your balance and apply to your purchase. We will also send you a monthly email that details your balance and other account activity. This is a transactional email that you will receive even if you are not subscribed to our marketing emails.
Bonus Rewards Promotions:
Every so often, we'll have special offers where you can earn bonus MJ$, like an additional 10%, 20% or 40% back. So if we are running a 50% back special offer, and you buy a regular-priced item for $100.00, you will receive MJ$10.00 in base points, and a bonus of MJ$40. These special offers may have a cap on how many bonus MJ$ you earn during the promotion, but you will always earn the base Reward Dollars. Make sure to check us out on our social channels for other ways to win some extra MJ$!
MJ$ on Gift Cards:
You don't get earn MJ$ when you buy a gift card, but you do get MJ$ when you spend a gift card. Sorry gift givers. You're welcome gift receivers.

Moosejaw reserves the right to remove any user from the program and zero out their MJ$ balance if Moosejaw determines that the user is abusing the program by buying for resale, attempting to game the program or any other reason at Moosejaw's sole discretion.

Old Dog Owner from
5 Stars for it's intended purpose but...Got one of these after reading positive reviews from owners using it on their dogs with hind end impairments and though it would help our 90# GSD, who is having loss of motor control in his back end due to compressed discs in his spine. First off, this harness was purpose designed for hoisting and lowering dogs in potentially dangerous situations where safety and strength is paramount and worth the extra effort - hence the lack of quick release buckles and some seriously substantial hardware. I was very impressed with the design and execution for this intended purpose. But as other reviewers mention, this makes it a PITA to adjust and put on and take off. I think it is a great product for it's intent but did not work out for our dog partly due to convenience factor for us but mainly because the strap between the front and back harnesses is fixed length and was too short for our fairly long-bodied dog. This put the rear handle too far forward to be effective for either helping him get up or offloading his rear end so that he could go farther on walks. I returned it to Moosejaw, no problems. For those looking for a mobility aid harness, I'd suggest looking at the "Help em Up" (the one I ultimately bought) and "Walkabout" harnesses, which are specifically design as mobility aids, are more adjustable and have quick release buckles that make getting the on and off very fast and easy.

Houdini-Proof!I purchased this harness to walk a border collie/greyhound mix who was able to back out of harnesses on a walk. The back leg straps make walks a lot safer for us all. No escapes! The veterinarian was impressed with the design also.

AMAZING!This thing is awesome! Made well, sturdy, stitching is on point. I can carry my dog around like a piece of luggage. We have hiked mountains in the Adks and gone underground and it is seriously useful for traversing gaps and large rocks. It has so far survived the abrasion of everything and cleans up real nice when you hose it down. I can't say enough good things about this harness. Next up, rock climbing!
Would this work for a smaller size woman (i weigh 114 lbs) needing to assist her 84 pound dog up a steep and narrow flight of stairs from the first to second floor?

Hi there, thanks for your question! This harness is designed to safely lift and lower a dog in exposed outdoor areas but I've heard that there are many people who use to it help with the dog's mobility issues as well. The issue is that this harness is heavy and bulky and probably wouldn't be comfortable for all day use, plus it can be cumbersome to fit your dog.
The Ruffwear Web Master Harness is ideal for assisting your dog over obstacles and up flights of stairs, rather than belaying up mountains. It doesn't have the back leg loops but it still distributes weight evenly and has a comfortable fit. There is no weight limit, as long as your dog fits in the girth requirements, he or she should be good to go!

The Ruffwear Web Master Pro Harness is very similar to the Web Master Harness, except it is made with more durable and higher quality materials. There is a demo video on the product page that provides detailed instructions on how to fit your dog in the harness.

Hope this helps!

I have a pit lab mix that is a 40 lb pup. She pulls on excessively on walks. Other harnesses work but rub her raw. How will this work for her?
Asked by: qkzmom
Hi qkzmom, great question! This harness should work well for your 40 lb girl. The leg rear leg straps should help keep this whole harness in place well enough that it should not slide around and rub her raw while she's pulling. I hope this helps!

I have a Houdini little girl. She is an angel... but sometimes gets over excited on walks and slips out of every harness like it's nothing! She's very high energy. If I leave the leg loops on during normal walks/hikes, will it make walking uncomfortable?
Asked by: NewEnglandGirl
Thanks for the question! While the leg loops were designed for lifting & lowering, they can remain on your pooch during walks. As long as they are adjusted to fit her correctly, she should be comfortable. If you are worried she could still slip out, I have heard from other customers that they clip on a carabiner between the two leg straps (above the base of the tail) to keep the straps on. This will require you to keep an eye on her, tho - so the carbiner doesn't get caught on anything. Just an idea. You may not need to go this extra step. If you go ahead and give this harness a try, please submit a review with some pics. We have a soft spot for dog pics over here :)
