Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted to love these First, the good. If these fit and flatter you, they're really comfortable and are good light hiking pants. I'm in between the "regular" and "plus" sizes, so I ordered both XL and 1X to see which would fit better. The XL has an incredibly low rise - good for lounging or if you're a size 2 I guess, but hard to see any sort of strenuous hiking in them. The 1X's rise is higher (though hardly mom-jeans), which is better for these pants. In both sizes, the pocket placement is just... *so* unflattering for anyone who doesn't want to draw attention to that area. I suspected it would be so and should have trusted my gut, but it's hard to find hiking pants that fit anyone of US average size/with a belly, so I decided to try anyway. In addition, there's nowhere to put a phone or anything of substance, so if you plan to use these for hiking you'll definitely need a backpack. Other reviews mentioned that the pants are very noisy; this is true, though if they had fit well otherwise I could have lived with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I even hoped I am curvy on my bottom half sbdcstrugglw to find hiking pants that actually fit my waist but still also have enough room for my caboose. These are perfect. Plus the mirage blue color is a lovely alternative to the usual greys and greens available in trail pants. I had read that prAna pants can run a bit small so I got the large and I am very happy with the fit. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs and usually wear size 6 pants. These are very comfortable to wear for outdoor activities like hiking or just as casual pants for chasing the kids and walking the dogs.

HOW to MEASURE
NATURAL WAIST: Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest point just below the belly button.

HIPS: Standing with your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hip.

INSEAM: Grab your favorite pair of jeans or pants. Measure the inseam starting at the crotch seam to the bottom of the pant leg, and round to the nearest 1/2 inch.
