Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bright but.... poor, poor quality construction For something that is supposed to be one of the most durable, waterproof headlamps out there I've gotta say i'm incredibly disappointed. Ive used this headlamp pretty minimally and already ive had numerous problems. The focus bulb didnt work for about 3 months and was always coming loose, the LEDs would experience terrible flickering even with new batteries. Finally it went through a period of working so I felt comfortable enough to bring it with me on a month long trek through the Himalayas. I arrived in India only to find that the battery case had cracked on the way over here! Now I have a $170 headlamp held together with duct tape... something is not right there. When it works right it is bright as can be but unfortunately those periods are few and far between. Other reviews were good so maybe mine was defective? All I have to say is make sure you keep your receipt... or some extra duct tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Beams you can't beat Great for Caving and Mountaineering. The headlamp is much lighter than one would think and battery pack is practically unnoticeable. The only grip is the incandescent bulb can be fidgety, but the LEDs let you see for a long distance.,,A little much for anyone who is not caving or mountaineering.,,If you do either one, you won't regret buying this lamp

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you're leading cave trips, pimp it. If not, don't bother. LEDs are fantastic. Not as heavy as I would have expected. Surprisingly good battery life. Halogen is not as bright as one would hope, but it still has a nice, long beam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product - Highly Recommended This headlamp is just awesome. It's powerful beam lights up the darkest of forests making search/rescue and hiking at night easy. Lithium batteries work great in the winter. Great for kayaking to light up take outs at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great upgrade I have had the original duo for probably 10 years and my only complaint is that the head band finally stretched out beyond repair.... the high beam is probably the best part... and i am sure using LEDs will make the low beam conserve batteries even better...

I have old model petzl duo. Been best light ever owned. unfortunatly broke during rock climbing. The case cover spilt on one side preventing secure closure. Have to tape otherwise will not function. Can replacement cover (top) be replace?

Asked by: Vick
Hey there Vick, Thanks for your question. I wasn't able to find any replacement parts offered by Petzl themselves. I would contact Petzl directly to see if you can possibly get the top replaced under warranty. Here is there website: https://www.petzl.com/US/en Hope this helps!

So exactly how many Lumens is this headlamp put out? I notice you have that specification listed for other models you sell but not this one. I am trying to contrast and compare to make a purchase decision. Thank you for your time.

Asked by: Robert
Thanks for reaching out to us. The amount of Lumens that this item is able to give is 67 lm. We hope this helps.
