Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Locking Carabiner I happily utilize a couple of these Attache locking carabiners on my rack. They are lightweight, durable, compact, and sexy. Work well for any situation, from top roping to long multipitch free climbing. My favorite feature is visual indicator under the screw gate, which makes it blatantly obvious if the carabiner isn't locked. Sweet biner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Carabiner Whether I'm riding the Kit Carson Trail, or rappelling vertical outcrops above the timber line in the Sierra Nevada, Petzl is a name I can trust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a truly engineered carabiner! As an engineer I am always picky about optimization and well designed products. This carabiner has been the only one that I can admire 100%. I have not found a single flaw in it. Its H shape cross section saves a ton of weight without sacrificing too much strength, and its screw it well fit (I take it canyoneering through sandstone and loose sand and unlike other carabiners no sand will get jammed it in) and it's thread is about half the size of my other carabiners which saves a ton of time on locking. It fits my ATS perfectly. It is almost like a quickdraw when opened, slightly resistant at first, but as you open the gate it gets easier to open with a powerful kick back as soon as you let go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use I bought this for my gri gri, and I will by two more to use as anchors because it is easy to clip the rope in and out of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and large I use these as the master point when building anchors. This clips to the figure eight, gets locked, then all connections to the master point are clipped to this locker. It is plenty big for this, yet it is quite light for it's size. The bright color makes it easy to see the master point as well (as did the yellow of the previous version).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and easy to use I bought a couple of these a month ago and have only used them on a recent trip but I loved them. I use them with my Metolius PAS to clean. The are lightweight a work great. I mainly use BD pearabiners so these feel a little different. The screw gate feels a little cheap but I think it is just because they are made from a light material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from definitely high-quality carabiners This attache carabiner works well. It is a little thinner than a standard rappel/main line carabiner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite belay locker I haven't found anything I don't like about the new Petzl Attache yet.,,,,* Extremely light for a full-size locker. This, frankly, kicks ass.,,* The rounded edges make the Attache great for belay 'biner. I've used it for standard lead/top-rope belays; with a reverso in "guide mode"; with a münter hitch; and in hauling situations such as rescue from a crevasse. In all scenarios, the Attache was just as good as (if not better than) round-body lockers, but at a fraction of the weight.,,* I really like the red warning that the Attache is unlocked. It's an extra thing that I keep in my safety checks that I really like.,,,,The only detriment is that the action of the locking mechanism is extremely smooth out of the box. While generally a good thing, I've also had the it start to unlock on me when used to belay a follower up with a reverso. This has caused me to more routinely check the gates when belaying. Only a minor problem, and one that is already starting to go away with wear.
