DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 6'1" and my pants reach my ankles! As a tall woman I have a very hard time finding well fit pants. Especially denim pants that are practical and not just hundreds of dollars worth of runway jean that is to stiff to actually wear. These jeans are durable mid weight denim with enough stretch that I can actually do pigeon pose and nail high steps while climbing. The mid rise is fashionably flattering and fits comfortably with a harness underneath. I actually have two pairs of these jeans because I love them so much. I discovered that Patagonia seems to be taking a break from making women's pants with a long inseam (my hear is sort of broken over this). So naturally, I bought multiple pairs of these pants even though I already own a pair of these. I fit a 28 long, but all of my pants are a 29 long. The 28 is a skin tight fit that I find uncomfortably restricting in the things. The 29 is form fitting but allows my thighs and butt to contort during random improv yoga stretching. The fabric does loosen up a bit with wear but it also keeps its shape. So even though it has stretched out a little you do not look like you pooped your pants. For comparison I wear a size 4L in the Prana Halle pant, a 6 in the Prana Kara, and an 8L in the Marmot Scree. I am a solid 6/8 in most outdoor and fashion brands. Slender athletic build that has a prominent butt and thighs. These pants have a very slight gap in the back of the waist band after they have been worn a few days, but it is not extreme enough to require a belt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy these if you want to feel thinner... Patagonia pants always run a bit snug on me. These are quite roomy and a bit longer than usual. So if you want to feel thinner or want extra room these are the pants for you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Try harder, Patagonia I've been wearing these for five months. They're surprisingly delicate. The elastic snags and pills out in little tufts. The rear pockets have holes worn in them from my everyday carries. The fit of the thighs is tiiiiight and the leg openings are small. All around not the value of expected from them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just shy of love.. I wanted to love these jeans..but they fell short of my expectations. The material is soft and a great color, and for a tall girl of 5'8, the perfect length. My complaint is one I make often, the legs are snug and the waist gaps in the back. BUT I am going to attempt alterations because I like them otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Fit Good stretch to these jeans. Fit may be a touch on the large side per sizing.
