DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs small I am 5’6 120lbs. Bought size small in black. Been eyeing this jacket for along time. For an upcoming trip I really needed a warmish jacket that could pack into a small pouch. It’s perfect. I figured out how to get it into its own pocket. (It folds up into the tiny inside zip pocket ;).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Perfect for layering or on it's own. This is my first experience with Moosejaw and I'm so pleased. Excellent sales price on a really great product. I'll definitely be back for more from MooseJaw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Patagonia is hard to beat! Love this jacket. It’s warm but without bulk. The only reason I didn’t rate it with 5 stars is because this season’s sizing is off. The medium is smaller than last year but I had to size up to a large which is bit too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love grey nano puff!! It is awesome color that I really want to have one. This color goes with everything. And I luckily got with 30% sale price. When I order first, I choose medium (layering with confi style). It was too big especially arm was long. So I changed to small! Now it is perfect even with hoodie layering. I am 5’2 and 124lb. thanks moosejaw:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love nanos! First, I got the nano pullover...love it camping and kayaking in cold weather, often sleeping in it, missed hand pockets. Then I got the nano bivvy...love the pouch pocket and hood; seems warmer than the others. Finally got full zip nano jacket; easier on and off, hand pockets, good for going to work and about town. Always preferred down to synthetic, but not anymore. Nano is just as warm, not as delicate and easier to wash and dry. I'm ~5'6", 120-125#, all nanos size M. Jacket seems larger. Had I tried on in store, would likely have gotten jacket in S, but not worth mail order exchange (although Moosejaw is always great!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lay er able Light weight 4 coldest days, really warm when layerer. A few little threads pulled out. Certainly not as many loose threads as my jacket from years ago

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat! I love this jacket. It’s not bulky but very warm and has a great shape. I’m 5’3 155lbs and the large fits perfect with a little room to spare to be able to layer. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely all-around jacket I live in Flagstaff AZ: wind, altitude, very cold nights, rain and snow are all things that this jacket is required to stand up against, and it does! The jacket is great at protecting me from the elements and at the same time not getting overly hot. I was turned onto this jacket by a local sporting goods store, but couldn't find the right size or color I wanted until I found Moosejaw. Thanks, guys!

Are these made true to size or do they run large/small. I am wondering if I need a small or medium for my daughter. She is 5'6 and wears a size 9 in juniors and a size 6 in misses. Thank you!

Asked by: Carolina Girl
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Y'know, out of all the Patagonia jackets we sell.....this is one of them. Good eye. So, I double checked all our data on this, and from what I'm seeing, this jacket runs very true to size. For sizing, I'm showing that the numeric equivalent of a 4-6 is a Small....and 8-10 is Medium. Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.

How much room is there to wear sweaters or pullovers underneath?

Asked by: Lyndsey
Hiya Lyndsey, thanks for your question! I wear between a small and medium in Patagonia. I tried on the size medium of this jacket to test it out. It might be a bit snug but I would comfortably wear a hoodie or sweater under it. Hope this helps!

The sleeves are 6" too long in the XL that seemed to fit.  Can I take somewhere and to have alterations?  Seems like it might compromise the jacket

Asked by: jules
Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, alterations is not a service that Patagonia provides. You can have this Jacket professionally tailored on your end, but just keep in mind that does void the Warranty. As long as the insulation doesn't spill out, you should be fine. Hope this helps!
