The Patagonia Women's Down With It Parka is a long down jacket for blustery winter days in the city. Whether you're visiting a big city for the first time, or just making it through your first east coast winter, the knee length parka has been insulated with plenty of 600 fill power duck down to keep you warm against the cold. A durable recycled polyester shell protects the down from the elements while a durable water repellent finish prevents moisture from soaking into the jacket. Snap the storm flap over the zipper to prevent any drafts and snuggle your hands deep into the handwarmer pockets. The cozy hood is optional and willing to stay at home or join you on your city adventure. Time to find yourself a large cup of piping hot coffee on the way to work.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Northeast Winter coat I think the coat is really warm. I love the length and it looks great on. The black goes with almost everything. The detachable hood is a great feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm I live in Maine and this jacket is the best. I just wear it to work and hanging around outside but it does the job. It definitely runs small so size up. Again- the warmest (and I don't like being cold).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from super warm and light weight Fit is perfect, although the Small is a tad small in the shoulders if I'm wearing a bulky sweater. It's easy to work around this. Hood stays on in strong wind, so no need for a hat. Love how light weight it is for the warmth. Easy to pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Both stylish and toasty I was pleasantly surprised how warm this coat feels. Chicago has had some very cold mornings(dog walking at 4:30am)and I have been warm. I also find this coat slimming. I am 5'8" and weigh 143lbs(medium fit just fine).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy and pristine I love wearing my new Patagonia coat. This is my 2nd one after wearing the first for 6 years. It has been improved by a better fitting hood and closer fitting collar. During the bitter cold days I was snug

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! This winter had been freezing in Boston. This coat has been great! It was also delivered very quickly. I would recommend to a friend. I wish I purchased earlier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat. I love it. I got this beauty to replace an older North Face metropolis. TNF has since changed the design and fit, and quality doesn’t seems as good, so I was on the hunt for something new. I compared the Down With It to TNF Miss Metro. The Miss Metro did have some pluses. I Liked the quality of the snaps on the front placket better than the Down with it. Minor perhaps, but I like a good snap! The fabric of the Miss Metro was also nice and the coat is lightweight like my old Metropolis. But...I didn’t Like the diamond quilting and, most important, the hood was lame. So I got Down with the Down with it. The hood is amazing. Stays in place, nice and roomy for my big head. The quilting is done well and helps give the coat some shape. My only complaint is when fully zipped the neck is a little stiff and sort of pokes me in the chin. Patagonia should work on that. Overall it’s an awesome coat and I love it.

Where is the logo on this jadket

Asked by: Dhvaldes
That's a great question! The logo is actually stitched on the left wrist and it just states "Patagonia". It is not the traditional logo that you would see on their Snap-T pullovers. If you zoom in on the images you can see the stitching. Hope this helps!

Deciding between a small and a medium- I am 5'4", 125 lbs, small-medium bust (36B or 34C), hippy but athletic, like my clothes form-fitting but not tight, comfortable but never baggy. Recommendation?

Asked by: Kelly
Thanks for the question! I actually own this Parka. It is my winter staple. It runs true to size and has a "Regular Fit". So it's not slim, but not baggy either. You actually could fit in either size comfortably . If you prefer your jackets to be on the looser side you should go for the Medium. Hope this helps!

What is the length of this jacket?  I am 5’2” and worried this may be too long for me.

Asked by: KJohnson
Hiya KJohnson, thanks for your question! The center back length measure 35 inches long (size small). My office friend, Cass (nicknamed "the Quiet Riot"), tried on this coat for me. She is 5'2" and the jacket hem reached the middle of her knee. Hope this helps!
