The Patagonia Men's Ultralight Down Jacket is a lightweight down jacket for layering up in cold temps. The Pertex Quantum® shell is ridiculously lightweight while remaining tough to hold in the precious 800 fill power European goose down against your body. Together they drop the weight on your back (or in your pack) as well as allow the whole jacket to stuff into its own chest pocket. When worn, you've also got access to two zippered hand pockets for various odds and ends. Stay warm by layering under and over the lightest down jacket Patagonia makes.

Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

FEATURES of the Patagonia Men's Ultralight Down Jacket

  • Ultra lightweight Pertex Quantum shell and liner fabrics use interlocking Y-shaped nylon fibers to enhance the performance of the DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • 800-fill-power 100% Traceable Down (European goose down that can be traced back to birds that were never force-fed, never live-plucked)
  • Variegated channel construction stabilizes goose down; side panels with narrow channels provide shape and reduce bulk
  • Longer-length hem; center-front zipper has interior storm flap and wicking kissingwelt zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets and one zippered chest pocket have zipper garages
  • Jacket self-stuffs into chest pocket with carabiner clip-in loop, as well as into the left-hand pocket to become a travel pillow
  • Elastic-bound cuffs and hem with single drawcord adjustment seal in warmth

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! This is my second Patagonia light jacket. My wife liked the first one so much I had to buy one for me! First one was light blue and i wasnt crazy about color so i purchased a black one, much better. Ok, so this jacket is so damm perfect i dont know where to begin. I own Eddie Bauer down jackets and a North Face but they all seem to be too warm here in Arizona. Don't let the ultralight fool you, it is warm, comfortable and you can reach up and not have the jacket ride up. This jacket has an adjustable bottom hem what you can send up if there's a breeze out. In the middle of our winter when the highs in the low 60s in the temperature drops down into the forties this check is perfect if you layered it with a shell and possibly a sweater that's all you need unless you were in really cold weather. I'm 6-foot 190 in the large is just right not too tight not too loose. It weighs next to nothing and packs down really small if you do not live in super cold climates this is the one jacket you want to have in the closet. It is pricey but I plan on having this for years. The shell is thin so stay away from fire or cats. I'm not tested the waterproofness but it is down so we're shell if you're in the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and perfect fit After diving down the full rabbit warren of comparing specs on ultralight downs (or claimed ultralights) I settled on this option and am glad I did. It's pretty tough to beat an 800 fill and 265gm (scale weight - medium) for the price. The medium is the perfect tight fit (I'm 6", 175) needed to fit under a shell and keep heat in. I initially order the large but exchanged for a medium. The large just had too much space in the body. Paired with a shell it's held up to cold temps and windy conditions in the city. I'm looking forward to using it on some trails soon. One things that could be improved is the inclusion of a stuff sack or a self stuffing pocket. The jacket compresses down nicely but I'll need to source a bag for it to be fully functioning as a piece of gear in to pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket Bought two of these for employees then had our company logo stitched on. They look really sharp. The blue is fairly bright, but that works for our company colors. (Personally I prefer black.) The guys says they very warm, which is good since they work outdoors most of the time. Patagonia is always good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it. Very light, very warm. I bought it about 6 was ago. It has been cool to cold here. I love to wear it. It is very warm and very fitting. I am 5'6", 148 lb, medium fits perfect. Small may work if you like it tight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Favorite This jacket has quickly become my favorite. Quickly because I just received it for Christmas. I love how it feels on and how it looks. It also got tested for its warmth today as it was a high of 26. Glad I asked my wife to give it to me for Christmas!
